It is official...

Posted in Around the Homestead

Brandon has been furloughed.
So a new adventure is on it's way!  I think that Brandon is planning on doing some things around the homestead that will be free or not cost too much to do.  I will be taking pictures and post about what is going on around here once he gets started.
Tomorrow after Mass we are going to have a Christmas play.  Trinity is going to be one of the angels in the play.  I need to make a gluten free chocolate cake and some gluten free tortillas.  I guess I should get up and start cooking so it will be done at a decent hour.  LOL  I really don't want to cook right now, but I also don't want to be doing it later when I am really tired.
Well the baby is calling me and after she is done eating I will go into the kitchen and get started on the goodies for tomorrow!
God Bless

Economy oh Economy

Posted in Family Life Children God

Well it seems that economy crunch has reared its ugly head at the Williams clan.  It appears that Brandon is going to end up being one of the many that will be furloughed.  Yep, he will be out of a job!  Actually, he could go to work if they call him when they need him, but it is not steady work.
So, he has been applying for other jobs.  Where will we end up?  Only God knows and he knows best.  I can tell you that he has applied for some here in Colorado, Texas, North Carolina, and Alaska.
For those of you that know us...well Alaska will not surprise you one bit.  We are dreaming of snow...lots of snow, and polar bears chasing us outside the log cabin ah, it would be fun, but so far away from family.
He actually has applied for more jobs in Texas than anywhere else.  Why?  Well, it would be wonderful to be by family!
I know that he will get a job offer, and I am not worried at all.  Brandon does not seem to be too concerned either.  I think that if he was stressing out that I would be freaking out.  LOL  It is a good thing that he is so calm.  We have been praying that if he was furloughed that he would find a job quickly...or at least before the unemployment ran out.  We even did the 911 prayers which are 9 Memorares, 1 Divine Mercy Chaplet, and 1 Rosary.  I have to say that I truly believe that because of these prayers he lasted as long as he has.  He could have been furloughed weeks ago.  God is so good.
I also feel that God is allowing this to happen so Brandon can be home with the family more often.  With his current job he was away quite a bit.  He didn't have a regular schedlue and with kids having a schedule is necessary.  So, once he gets a new job we will have a regular life again.  He will be able to go to Mass with us on Sundays.  Oh, it will be wonderful.  I have to be honest and say that I am actually excited about all of this!  LOL
My prayers go out to the rest of the people that will be furloughed with Brandon.  I hope that they can turn to God and realize that everything happens for a reason and God will always choose what is best for us.  It is for all of His glory!
Have a Blessed day and as Fr. D said yesterday, have a Holy New Year.

Advent Conspiracy

Posted in Family Life Children God

A friend sent this you tube video(Advent Conspiracy) to a group that I belong to.  I just thought that I would pass it along.  It does make one question themselves as well as how we have let society have more control than God.
