Well, I have been continuing on. I have had many disasters in cooking, but enough successes to keep motivated. I know the Lord wants to simplify my life, but I am not quite sure how. Just an update. I have a site I blog on at

Thanks so much for the tips. I will definitely use my breadmaker from now on. It sounds like it is a lot easier. I ended up using my mixer tonight, along with some hand kneeding and it worked well, but I would love to simplify any way I can.

I need advice. I have heard that you can make your bread or pizza dough in a bread maker and then cook it in the oven. The cook book I have only tells how to knead the dough in a food proccessor and then finish by hand. Tonigh I am making pizza dough. Last time I used my mixer because I don't have a food proccessor. Any advice on how to do this or why not to?

Thank you so much for all the wonderful responses! I feel better knowing there is help and support out there. I got a cook book called, "The Way to cook" By Julia Child. I really like it. I will look into the Ball Blue Book. I really feel like the Lord is teaching me to take baby steps with things. I have set a goal to do 2 new recipies a week, so as not to overwhelm my family. Dh likes routine when it comes to food. New recipies put him into shock! We decided Friday nights would be new dinner night, where the family could criticise the meal and decide if it should stay or go.  Then I try a new "other" recipe. Tea time or snack or bread or breakfast. Again, thanks for the support!
