Today was big day for both Dakota and I. We meet new people and kids (he didn't want to go, was very upset I was making him go). Dakota was so shy and felt so out of place that when I was to meet with the other moms he was heading back to get in the truck......told him no, that I didn't know anyone either but this is something we had to do. So he just stood out by porch and watched the other kids (wanting to join but not knowing how to) so the woman hosting the meeting went and took him out to where the other boys were playing football and he finally joined in. The next thing I knew they lent him a pair of swimming trunks and he was in the pool having a wonderful time with all the new kids he just met.
After it was all over he had a great time again......I keep telling him that he has to try new things out to see if he really likes them or not. Each time he says he had a really fun time.....now who would have known that moms know what they are talking about?

My husband is more outgoing than I am and sometimes has to coax me to attend social gatherings. He always says, "You have a good time once you get there." and I usually reply, "Oh, you're right." Good thing I have him to talk me into things! Blessings to you.........Denise (prairiemom)
