Hello All; we have had the adventures here with our new farm animals. Rounding up the chickens at night, chasing loose goats, chasing chickens back in the yard! It has been such a true blessing! Our goats have decided they belong in the house; yes, they get out and come running up to the house. Last night we were just finishing dinner and looked up and saw two goats staring at us. I let them in as it was getting dark and wanted them close. They don't like dogs so they stay away from the dogs. This morning yes, they were up on the back patio again, rounded them up and the five chickens had gotten out. I caught 4 of them; one still is being elusive. Hopefully she will get sleepy this afternoon and I can pick her up. She stays right near the fence. A little slow on egg production but that was expected. Still I am happy; it is so fun to go out and find eggs!! All in all this has been a good experience. We will get the gates up tomorrow and then should not have any problems. All this excitement with the animals has really slowed me down in the house.had lots I needed to do the last two days. Hopefully today I can: finish organizing my closet, make dinner,clean out the chicken coop, do some sewing. Menus will be back up Monday. it helps me be accountable!! Blessings to all Cyndi |
