Just the post office today...

Gee, is it a happy or sad thought when the biggest chore I had to do today was to mail a package at the post office?  I suppose it is how you look at it.  Life at the Beale Bungalow is calm and serene (at the moment).  I did do laundry today.  I am having company over tomorrow evening for supper, so I planned the meal.  We are having Baked Speghetti, a salad, fresh bread along with a bowls of fruit and fresh veggies.  Dessert will be Peanut Butter Pie!  Yum! Yum!

My friend Marianne hobbled up my walk to see me.  She fell on her knees a few days ago and hurt the right one in particular.  It was a very nice visit.  We will see each other on Friday-along with my other CoffeeHouse Gals.  Sniff, sniff!  I sure have missed them.

This Thursday my fall garden will, hopefully, be in!  Yipee!  Collards, beets, beans, spinach and some cabbage.  I love cabbage.  I would like to make some of my own sauerkruat!  Has anyone ever had Shinebone and Kruat?  Man, is it delicious!  You put sauerkruat in a crockpot or a pot on the stove--add some pork neckbones and cook it until the bones shine!  It is some kinda good!!  Maybe I will have a chance to make some this winter!  It will warm your in-erds!

Well, there isn't much to tell about today.  I just did some shopping and went to the post office.  I nursed my sore neck.  (An out of shape 48 year old mom does not need to carry her almost 11 year old over her shoulder--even in fun!)  Ice, I think is doing the trick!  So, that is it from my end of the world.

Have a great evening and a wonderful tomorrow!

                                       God Bless!
