Prayer....

            He Shall Hear My Voice

I have had the honor not only to work in my home this week, but also to offer up prayer for those I love and for those in need.  There seems to be a sense of urgency for me to pray, so I do.  In my morning quiet time; while I am washing windows; as I fold clothes; during the time I mop my floors and today, as I can my tomatoes; I find myself bombarding the throne of grace.

Not only do I pray for these precious people, but I praise God for them as well.  Yesterday, I put on my Shalom Jerusalem video by Paul Wilbur, and I sang and praised God for those who cannot seem to do this at this time.  I don't know if this was conventional or not, but I didn't care.  If the Holy Spirit can take our moanings and speak in prayer then why can't He direct me to praise for others, as well?  Anyway, it was a glorious afternoon praising and praying and not only cleansing my home, but hopefully assisting the cleansing of trials and tribulations of my loved ones.

There is so much pain and oppression.  There is so much disobedience and defiance.  There is so much confusion and conflict.  But only through our eyes, not through the eyes of God.  So, I will continue to pray and praise.  What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.  Sigh....

This has been a most glorious morning.  Donnie and I have been sitting outside, drinking coffee and just spending time with eachother.  We talked and laughed--watched the birds and squirrels come and go.  It was a very nice way to start out our Saturday morning.  Now, he is cleaning out the shed in our backyard.  I am on my way to can up some tomatoes.  I think I will make some more tomato sauce.

Seth is not feeling his best.  He is complaining of a sore throat.  I have checked for white patches, since a couple of the young ladies in my coffeehouse group has had strep throat, but alas not one white patch.  I am going to brew him up some Throat Coat tea and see if that gives him some relief.  I, myself, am prone to unexplained sore throats every now and then, so I am hoping that this is what this is--time will tell.

One more week until our official start of a new school year, and there is still much to do.  The fall garden needs to be completed--Seth's schooling lessons need to be planned--my central (brain) notebook needs to be put together--Seth's room needs to be dejunked (yet again!)--so, as I have said before--work never ends!

So, please have a great day, and may God bless you!
