It's official - all our farm felines are finally ......well, snipped! Er, fixed as in all spayed and neutered.
Okay you animal people, please don't start leaving me hate comments - spaying and neutering is a responsible part of pet ownership. I'll have to find the equation that our local spay/neuter clinic publishes to the effect of "1 Cat + 1 Cat = 42,000 cats over the course of 3 or 4 years...."
or something like that.
We love our animals and I have been so excited that we live somewhere where we can keep our offspring - our boys have been able to witness the miraculous births of most of our precious farm cats - cats that have become their special pet companions. We knew that any we produced, we would keep as pets - "working cats". But the time had come to be happy with the 14 working cats we have. After several appointments and logging a great deal of time on the road in recent days and weeks, the last of our little tomcats were "snipped" today (nothing but ziploc baggies.....heh, heh). We've been very fortunate to have a local (50 miles away) clinic that only performs spaying and neutering and for reduced fees thus, enabling us to do so. In an effort to help them continue their mission of preventing the over-population of unwanted pets and unnecessary euthenasia (sp?) I'll be distributing fliers out here where we are and our neighboring counties.
Thank you CSRA Life Saver!

My little one is due to go in next month for his operation, I wish we had a cheap place but it's not to be. The operation will cost $120.00 Canadian but it will be well worth it!
Brightest blessings
