Posted in A Day in My Life

Today my oldest daughter, Shera, turned 14! For her birthday, she chose the menu for the day, which consisted of: breakfast - chocolate gravy and biscuits; lunch - pasta salad; and dinner - restaurant of her choosing (Steak & Ale) with only her daddy and me. She and I shopped all afternoon. First to Walmart, where she bought a purse and a cross-stitch project (for me to do for her, lol!); then to Circuit City, where she bought a game for the Game Cube; and then to Michaels where she bought new paintbrushes and some watercolor pencils. After Steak & Ale we headed to the bookstore where she bought three books. She had a wonderful day! And the best part was that all of it cost us nothing because she used all the gift cards she received from Christmas!
Here's a pic of the birthday girl and me today before we left for dinner:
I am very blessed! |

The only thing we paid for, of course, was the meal at Steak & Ale, and hubby used his Christmas money to pay for that. What a sweetie!
