Posted in A Day in My Life
|
Today was quite a busy day. I took my mom to two different doctors for check-ups, washed three loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and finally washed and seasoned the new cast iron cookware I got for Christmas.
I also went to Academy Sports and Outdoors today and bought an exercise mat for my six year old son. He still has a problem with nighttime wetting and does not want to wear pullups or Good Nights any more, so I've been washing a lot of sheets lately. I thought maybe he could sleep on the exercise mat on top of the bed and all we would have to do is clean the mat off in the morning instead of having to wash sheets. That way, I would be saving some money in the long run with the wear and tear of sheets being washed so often, plus the extra laundry. The mat I found was only around $7.50. If it's not very absorbent, we can still use it for exercise - I even bought a new exercise DVD today as well - beginning pilates. I guess we'll find out how the mat works tonight. He wanted to sleep on the couch tonight, so I hope it's absorbent enough!
I am trying to start reading my Bible according to a plan I found at http://musings-of-a-mountain-mama.blogspot.com/. Basically it's a seasonal plan - you read through the Bible once a season, or every 88 days. I've read the entire Bible a couple of times before, but reading it through this quickly will be quite an undertaking for me. I try to get it done in the mornings but couldn't today, so that's where I'm headed now. Enjoy your evening! |
