We are moved in

I believe it has been two weeks since we moved in. There are still a lot of boxes to unpack but not a lot of room to put things away. Some things will be stored under the house and other things will be put away in the poolhouse for winter storage. Merging two households has proven difficult but we are managing. Who pays for food? Who buys the toiletries? My husband I have decided the best way to deal with the household finances is for us to buy the food, toiletries, etc. just as we did on our own. Since my dear Aunt has a tendency to forget things, we felt it best to make sure all the needs are met for us all. We have had our moments where she has been downright mean but we try to remember things will calm down a lot quicker if we treat her in a calm and respectable manner even if we feel she has not done so to us. We love it when she naps because we can rest. When she is resting, she is not into everything and we are not "walking on broken glass" to please her and anticipate her every move. It will be quite an adventure. I am quite exhausted. I am going to finish the last two chapters of the book 'The Englisher' by Beverly Lewis. I do enjoy her books. If I feel ambitious afterwards, I may work on my knitting. I will probably just go to bed! :) Changes

Fall is here and foliage is at its peak here. I am overcome by all the beauty that surrounds me. My husband I have packed a lot more. We are trying so hard to eliminate as much as possible so we don't have to rent a storage unit. We have a lot of stuff. I want us to get as much done as possible before the 26th. That is when my parents are coming down from Vermont to help us move. I am so glad we are only moving 15 minutes away. As the moving date approaches I am finding it increasingly harder to get my coursework done. I think I will take a two week break in order to get things ready. I will continue once settled in the new place.

Hi everyone! I wasn't sure how to respond to your comments so I decided to address them here. Thank you all for the warm welcome! ![]() To Marthaskitchen: I love making herbal sachets, pillows and teas as well as trinket boxes out of kitchen match boxes. I always have a dozen or more crafts going at any given time! To Andrea: Thank you. We have no kids yet. One day we hope! I will miss a lot from being in our own world/space. I know there will be days where I want to rip my hair out! The happy days will make up for it though! What exactly is the normal way to respond to comments? I need all the help I can get! lol! My name is Sarah and I am new to blogging. I am a homemaker living with my wonderful husband and our 2 female cats. I am currently studying to be an herbalist through a correspondence course. I have an extensive knowledge of herbs and though it made sense to make a career out of it. We are in the process of moving into my Aunt's home to care for her in her old age. It will be quite a transition for all of us but we all adore each other. I am looking forward to the upcoming holiday season. I love to bake and make gifts for my family and friends. My Aunt has a smaller kitchen than me but I have worked in there before and know I can make do. She has a big yard that she is letting me have free reign in. I love growing food for my family!
