Tuesday September 12th

I forgot to mention, we went to look at the allotment we`re supposed to be getting soon. The site rep said that he`s giving the tenant their eviction notice, as they haven`t bothered with the allotment for a long time.

   Well, there is a lot of wood on the site, there is a shed, and theres loads of work to be done, but I think I prefer it like that !  and the best bit is that it has a stream running along side of it !!

Sunday Sept 10th

We`ve had a very busy weekend !  Yesterday we went to our local beach, we didn`t actually go on the beach, but the kids love the rides there, also the arcades ! we dont go there very often, probably twice a year. Theres also some great shops there, and its only 30 minutes drive from our house.

 Today we went to visit my elderly  parents. They live about a 40 minute drive from our house, we only get to see them once every 2 weeks, as I dont drive, and can only go when Gord can drive me there.  I can get there on the bus, but it takes 2 and a 1/2 hours !!

  Its very hot in their house as they never have any windows open,  I actually fell asleep !!

   Work again tomorrow ! but only 4 hours, so I`ll have time to catch up on the housework !

On the lest is my daughter Sophie 15, then comes my grandaughter Samantha 13, then my daughter Kate, 51, then my son Thomas 13 !

Three of my grandkids live in Spain, they are, Jose Manuel 11, Natalia, 9  and Esefania 3. I dont get to see them very often, I last saw them about 18 months ago. I miss them a lot. I have another grandaughter, Samantha 13, who lives quite near to me.

Tuesday 5th September

These are some of the chocolates we sell in the shop !

I`ve been working all day, and again tomorrow, my boss is at a conference, so I`m in charge of the shop.  There is so much to do ! I`m on my own till 12, then I have to take my hour lunch break. The girl who comes at 12, only works till 5,  she also has to have a break of 30 mins, as she is under 18.  So that leaves me just thre and a half hours to get everything done ! My boss is very fussy, she likes the shop to be perfect all the time  !!  We had our delivery today, so tomorrow I have to check it off, and then put it all away, easier said than done !! There are about 300 boxes !  and they all have to be in date order.  My boss is back on Thursday, so I hope I can get it all done tomorrow !

1. Which holidays (if any) do you consider more as a day off from work, than anything else?  2. Which 3 holidays are most celebrated in your family?  Easter, and the Bank holidays we get in England

 we celebrate Christmas and Easter.

3. Do you have an organized filing system at home?   Not really
4. Do you clip coupons for groceries? If so, do you remember to use them? If not, why?  I do clip coupons, but we dont seem to get many in England, I do try to use them, but sometimes I`m too late.

 5. How many magazines do you subscribe to?  1

6. Do you play any computer games on a regular basis? If so, which is your favorite, and why? 

 My son has got me hooked on a game on the internet called Bubble Trouble, its on www.miniclip.com

7. Have you watched any movies worth recommending, lately?   Watched Flightplan last night, it was quite good, but you cant miss any of it,  or you`ll get completely lost !

our city

We live in a city called Bristol, which is in the west of England. We live only about a mile from the city centre ! One day we will live in the country again !  I suppose living in the city does have its advantages, I can walk to work, and  there is always something going on. 

  We only have to use our car if we are visiting my parents, or for food shopping. or for days out and vacations. My husband also walks to work.

Thursday 31st August

  Today I worked for 9 hours !  It was quite busy in the shop, so the time went fast, thank goodness. I was working on my own from 4 till 7.

   Tomorrow, I`m working 9 till 6, and saturday the same, then I have sunday off. I really wish I could afford not to work. I love being at home !

    The people I work with are really nice though, which makes a big difference. I couldn`t bear to work with people I didn`t like.

Wednesday 30th August

For some reason, I thought it was the 1st September tomorrow !   This is the last day of my time off, so I have to make the most of today. Taking the dog out for a walk soon, going to see where the allotments are.  Have to get my uniform ready for work tomorrow,not really looking forward to going back, but looking forward to seeing the people I work with, and catching up on all the news !

Tuesday 29th August

I dont have to start back to work till Thursday, so I`m trying to get my house straight ! Sometimes I just dont know where to start !Going to visit my friend this afternoon though, as she has just caome back from vacation also, she went to New York to see her family there.

Haven`t finished unpacking from our vacation yet ! I hate unpacking. I`m just going to do it gradually, as if I spend all my time on that, I wont get anything else done.

 Have decided that I want to fence round our garden as soon as possible, and grow vegetables, I have to fence it because of the dog.It isn`t a very big garden, so I`m also going to grow stuff in pots aswell.

   Have worked quite hard in my living room this morning, and feel I deserve a break LOL

 Didn`t get to see my friend,  she was out, so we took the dog for a long walk instead !
