Trying Simple Life in Taiwan

my mom told me last night via skype (yes we have skype!) that we are gluttons for punishment...........why would she say this? we are taking back a kid that was here for a year, 3 years ago................Thursday AM his mom came over to our house and was begging us to allow Sam (we call him that) to come back to our house. See, mom's boyfriend kicked Sam out of the house. Now mom's boyfriend doesn't like children in any shape or form, so was just down right mean. Sam (who was diagnosed in elementary school with ADHD but I feel is lack of discipline and love really) is a smart kid, but can't very compulsive and well.......a bull in a china shop type kid...............dh (I saw his heart weakening) said that he wanted to talk to Sam first before anything, to see if it was Sam's opinion to come back or mom was forcing it.

See, after being kicked out of the house (which isn't saying he was a bad kid), Sam was staying at different houses of different classmates. One particular one, the family were/are temple dancers, which is kinda like small gangs......very dangerous.........and he had to do idol worship......Sam claimed to have accepted Christ while at our house 3 years ago..........he said that the stuff he was doing at that house bothered him and he wanted out...........plus his mom had a police officer she knows whoop him with a stick til his behind was bleeding (we won't go on with that!!)

so, to make a long story short........we are taking back a soon to be 14yr old this August...........

Wow - that is a big step and responsibility . You truly have a BIG heart for children. I pray that God gives you discernment as you parent this hurting child.. and that your other children will be kept safe and out of harm's way.
