in Babies and Children - Post Comment

We just found out we're expecting baby #3 (due next spring)... I'm about 7 weeks along and the usual queasiness is setting in. ~moan~  I had a very difficult time with my last pregnancy, as far as sickness goes... I hope this time around is a little easier!!  Do any of you fellow mommies have some tips or advice for easing "morning" sickness??

Thanks a bunch!

~Kristy~

no, but if you find something, let me know!

when heartburn comes along, I have found a good black licorice helps!

Yea! A baby!!!

Congradulations!
I never found a thing that cured it, but keeping the saliva flowing helped me. Chewing gum (especially mint), drinking anything but tea seemed to help (just read up on what is safe during pregnancy.) Also, eating smaller and more frequent meals helped.
Wish I could help you more!

Preggie Pops

I used preggie pops with my last child. They worked great! I didn't like the lavender flavor but loved the rest (Peppermint, Spearmint, Sour lemon, Sour Tangerine, Ginger (the best) and sour rasberry). They were great during labor too. Kept me from getting dry mouth and was a good energy boost too. I had to get them from the internet but they were worth it.

First of all Congrats!!! I found that with queasiness ginger tea worked quite well. Also the old stand by of eating some crackers before you get up seems to help. Just keep some by your night stand. Keep us posted on your progress.
Blessings,
Kim

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I never had severe morning sickness, but did go through several weeks of queasiness and "butterflies" with each of my pregnancies. I have found that keeping something on my stomach helped. The longer I went on am empty stomach the worse I felt. So perhaps some pretzels, cheese, fruit, etc. just to keep a little something on your stomach would help. I think carbohydrates must give a little boost so your sugar doesn't dip to the point where you feel lousy. And of course your body needs more proteins for that little baby, too.
Hope you are able to manage it. It's always a relieft to have that part of the pregnancy behind you. :-)

~Blessings on you and you little one,
Annette

I just sipped water comstantly and that really helped me! Just keep a bottle filled up and make sure its really cold! As soon as it would get a little warm is when I would feel sick! Hope this helps!
