My grandma gave me the original recipe for this Breakfast Granola (I think she clipped it out of a magazine or newspaper)... I altered it slightly to suite my family's tast! We think it's delicious! Much tastier and less costly than store-bought granola! Enjoy!
Homemade Breakfast Granola
8 C Old-fashioned Oats
1/2 C plus 1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp vanilla
3/4 C raw honey (heat it on the stove or in microwave for 30-45 seconds to make it easy to pour)
2 tbsp Sugar cane crystals
1/2 C each: **Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans (chopped)
1/2 C each: Raisins, Mixed Dried Fruit (I used an assortment of blueberries, cherries & cranberries)
1/3 C dried bananas
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine oats, oil, vanilla, honey and sugar cane crystals. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake 30-40 minutes, turning and stirring every 10 minutes. Add nuts after first 10 minutes. Remove from oven; cool. Stir in dried fruit. Store in an air tight container. Serve with milk and enjoy!!
**Since nuts can be expensive, I buy mine at the dollar store. You don't have to use all three nut variaties if you'd rather cut out the additional cost. We are blessed to have several pecan trees to harvest from at our home!

This sounds wonderful. I was thinking about making a batch of granola this week, so I think I'll try your recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Yummy recipe. I haven't made granola in a long time. I think I'm working back up to it. :-)
