Wow, it's a GORGEOUS day outside!!! The past 7 days have been rainy and cool, without a spark of sunshine... and today it's SPRING!!! And, boy, have I had spring fever... bad!! Yesterday I worked some more on our "spring cleaning" (aka cleaning stuff out for the church garage sale, lol!!). I also made bread, cooked & froze a batch of pinto beans, finished up a batch of herbal remedy (immune booster, I try to always keep it on hand), did general housecleaning and laundry, and Amy "helped" me sweep, mop & vacuum all the floors. Wheewww...
Needless to say, I slept really well last night (until Emily woke up to nurse, that is...)
Jeremy and I have also been working the flower beds and garden... we're getting some sprouts! Can't wait for the garden to really start growing and producing. It's been WAY too long since I've had a garden- grown tomatoe... or okra... or squash.
Yum!!
I'm SOOO excited because today we're going to Abilene to pick up our first order from the health food co-op!! THANK YOU to all of you who gave me some tips a few weeks back when I asked about where to order health food. One of you (I can't remember who) linked me up with a website that helped me find our local co-op (didn't even know we had one!!). I'm thrilled that we finally found a source for ordering healthy groceries! I was amazed at how reasonable the prices are, too... and the shipping is SO cheap!! Praise God!
For those of you who live in any of the Western states, try www.shopnatural.com. They deliver in a 7-state area and have a wonderful selection of healthy and organic items, from groceries to personal and baby (and even pet) items!!
Well, I'd best go for now... I have a couple more things to do before hubby comes home for lunch... then we're off to Abilene for the afternoon!!
Enjoy the day, Everyone!!!

We've been doing a lot of spring cleaning at our house! I think when the sun comes out, it's really easy to see all the window's that need to be washed...and everything else. More so than when it cloudy and rainy.
Enjoy your nice weather!
Emily :)
