Teen Challenge

Posted on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 08:20

I was blessed beyond words by a group that came to our church yesterday to tell us about their program.  They are a Program called Teen Challenge who takes people in from drugs and alcohol and helps them find Jesus and kick their addictions.  They just recently celebrated 50 years and were coming to ask for our prayer and financial support.  Government and independent studies show that they are the most effective rehabilitation program in the world, with a 74-98% effective rate.  I might have the numbers a little off from what I read yesterday but the fact is when people have the power of Jesus in their lives they can beat anything!  The most touching part of the day was their testimonies.  I often hear people talk of coincedence, but I know there is no such thing.  It is all part of God's master plan.  Sometimes we don't understand his plan but we are to trust in the fact that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.  One man that spoke, told of how when he was addicted to heroin, he got a job at a printing press, where two Christians worked.  He ended up going to church with them and meeting the pastor there who had himself been redeemed by God through this program.  It was so awesome to hear how God worked in his life and to remember some of the ways he has similarly worked in my life to redeem me almost 11 years ago.  He is a God that cares about us ALL!

Parker's 6th

Posted on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 09:09

My middle man turned 6 last week and he decided to have a pirate themed party.  He had family and 9 of his closests buds here to celebrate with him.  I thank God I had my girlfriend's 13 year old artist staying with me, cause he helped me cut out the pirate ships and made the flags and treasure map.  I am creative but NOT artistic.  Her 16 year old helped me with the cake.  They were both God sent!!!!  Here are some pics of his special day.

We started the party with two ships and a whole lotta water balloons

Followed by a game of Blow up that cannon ball!  They had what was supposed to be black balloons tied to their ankles and they had to pop each others "cannon balls"

Next was pin the X on the treasure

Then the part every kid loves....cake and ice cream

I made them all hook hands and they had to see how many pretzels they could hook in two minutes.  Some were eating the ones they hooked.  LOL!

We ended the party with a pirate story and some funny faces!

To mother's of large families

Posted on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 09:15

I know I've said this before and I'm going to say it again.  It takes an extremely strong woman to care for a large household.   God has blessed you with an ability I do not have.   I had between 7 and 9 children in my home for 9 days this past week and I must say I am EXHASTED!!!!!  The cooking, dishes, and laundry alone was all I could keep up with.  Thank God my bathrooms got a super deep cleaning the day they got here because I didn't get to them like I usually do on Thursdays.  VBS every day from 8:30-12 kept us super busy and Eric and I had a couple ball games a piece between us, not to mention Parker's 6th birthday party( will post pics soon!).  We did make it to the beach one day and were able to relax.  My visitors headed back to PA on Friday morning and Friday evening my hubby's brother and wife rolled into town.  They will be staying with his parents however.  My hubby took two extra days off of work this week to spend with his brother so I'm sure we are looking forward to another busy week.  My kids have their own ideas of what they want ot do with their uncle.  They want to take him to the beach and show him how they catch crabs on the rocks, and they want to go to Six Flags New England.  We'll see how it pans out.  I'll have to speak to my sister in law about it......both our hubbies are not too good in planning anything.  They are more of the fly by the seat of your pants kind of people.  Lee Ann and I are planners.....it must be the teacher in us.  Well I must round up my kiddos and get them to church.  My daughter has a verse test to take today.  If she passes she earns money toward a Christian college.  Even though she is only 8!!!  I'm praying she passes cause every little bit helps!

busy

Posted on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 08:59

It continues to be an extremely busy time for me.  Fun but busy.  We ended our American Girl History club this past week with a Mexican Fiesta.  We had studied Josephina and thought this would be a nice fun way to end the study.  We all had fun,  even the moms.  I will post pics when I get them from the other moms.  I was so busy leading the games that I forgot to take some pics.  We had lots of Mexican food and music.  It was great!  I can't wait to get together with them all over the summer.

I have started decorating for Vacation Bible School, which is next week.  That is a BIG job.  Thankfully I am working with some great people this year who have lots of great ideas, this makes it a  lot easier. We are all sharing the load.

I have company from PA coming in sometime this evening so of course I have some extra cleaning to do along with figuring out how to grocery shop to feed 12 mouths.

Oh yeah and my son's 6th birthday party is this Sunday, so I have all that to do.  We are planning to have it outside, so the outside needs to be mowed and picked up along with baking the cake and getting things ready for games and goody bags.

Well with thinking about all that needs to be done this week, I better get going. The kids are done with breakfast, it's time to put them to work.

Happy Father's Day

Posted on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 08:38

Eric,

I have seen you grow as a husband and a father and I am so grateful to have you.  It seems just yesterday that our first child was born.  The tears of joy you shed that day, I knew you would be a great dad.  It took a while for you to figure out what to do with a baby seeing you never had any experience with babies growing up.  But I must say by the time our third rolled around, you were a natural.  I watch you with the kids and I admire your patience and how you relate to them.  They adore you and I am thrilled to hear Parker say he wants to be just like Daddy.  Thank you for the time you take to be with them and make memories that will last a lifetime.

You have a very special role as the man in our daughter's life.  You set the standard for her future husband.  I hope she is as blessed to have a wonderful husband as I have been.

I love the crazy ideas you come up with the get the kids to laugh or to surprise them.

They love that special wrestle time you make with them.  This is what it is all about and these are the things they will remember when they have kids of their own.

Happy Father's Day my love!

Homeschooler's 23rd Psalm

Posted on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 09:39

I got this poem in my daily devotional that I do and thought I would share it with you.   This devotional is called Daily Focus and it is put out by Alpha Omega Publications.  The Lord has encouraged me many days with this devotional and I pray it does the same for you.  God Bless
The Lord is my shepard
I shall not want.
He maketh me to live on less sleep:
He leadeth me through the noise of many voices.

He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me to teach
The right lessons each day, for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of undone
Laundry and kitchen messes, I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me, my teacher's guides and
Answer keys, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence
Of threatening school officials and critical family members:
Thou anointest my head with heavenly wisdom, my cup runneth over.

Surely educated and godly children shall follow after me
All the days of my life: and I will dwell again one day
In a clean house with the Lord forevermore.

fruit of my labor

Posted on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 08:39

I was so thrilled with my 5 year old this morning I just had to post about it.  I am starting to see the fruits of my labor of homeschooling.  He wrote this sign with absolutely no help...and only forgot the extra 'p' in the word ripping.

Yesterday he did a rainy day math excersize that he seemed to enjoy and did really well.  He only got one wrong.  He did the math facts for 3,5,7,10 and 11

My daughter this past week took a pottery lesson with her Homeschool Americal Girl History group.

Watching and learning.  She's the one witht he pink headband.

Here she is making her coil mug.  Can't wait to see the final project all glazed and fired.

We only have 5 more days of official school.  But as many of you know....for homeschoolers, the learning never stops.  We are going to be reading as a family, Treasure Island,  and doing lots of fun pirate activities that enhance the book and incorporate math and map skills.  We are also doing a fun study of Mexico and Japan this summer by using highlights Top Secret Adventures.   Also,  I just found out about "Bookworm Wednesdays".  A local movie theatre is giving free matinee tickets to children who bring a book report with them to the theatre.  Yahoo.....if that's not an incentive to read I don't know what is.  This will be great for when Wally comes out.  My kids are dying to see that movie.  Well I'm off to join my kids in a game of "Go Fish"....till next time.

Tomatoes, Cucumbers and Lettuce Oh MY!

Posted on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 09:06

My garden is finally in !!!!  My kids and DH worked on getting in ready on Mother's Day.  I bought some stuff from seed and some plants last weekend but never got around to planting them because of the crazy busy week I had.  Well today after church that's what we did.  I'm gonna have , if everything grows good anyway, cukes, tomotoes, lettuce, snow peas, zuchinni, yellow squash, and peppers.  I still have a little space left so I'm thinking about doing carrots this year as well, which is new for us.  Hopefully I can do a better job with weeding this year.  Last year we had people over for some BBQ and someone hit the volleyball over in my garden and I said "Oh no not in the garden"  Their response was...."That's a garden??"    LOL!  I think I am going to make it part of the kids summer chores.  That outta force us all to stay on top of it.    Well  I'm off to go spend some more QT with the hub...we actually got to lay in the hammock together for about a half hour today and relax.  It was heavenly!  Have a great night!

Exhasted

Posted on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 07:49

Let me just say I am writing this on very little sleep....so little sleep that I'm not sure if it's 1 or 3 hours ...but it's somewhere in between there.  We had our annual Olympian campout this weekend and I have a very hard time sleeping to begin with.  Having children who keep me up till all hours of the night  tossing, turning, and talking in their sleep and then wake me up before 5 am just makes me a zombie.  It must have been real bad though, cause everyone I saw today said ...."wow you look exhasted!"  I'm going to bed as soon as I finish this long overdue post.  I think it will be a picture posting.

First we have up the 50th anniversary of the school in our town.  Up till 1958 we had only one room schoolhouses.  Pretty cool huh?  My dad was born and was the 2nd class ever to go to a real school in the town.  Here are some pics of the event.

A picture of my dad in 5th grade....they had pics on the walls from the early 1900's to present.

They recreated an one room school house and gave a talk about what school was like back then.

They brought in all kinds of old cars...one was from 1914....just two years before my grandmother was born!

They had so much stuff on display and videos about the 50's and our town's history, I can't even write about it all or show you.....I'd be here way longer than I have time and patience for.  Next on the list.....Memorial Day.......

We invited both my hubby's and my softball team over for a BBQ and some volleyball.  I think everyone had a blast at least I hope so.  I only have one pic of that day.....

This is my hubby and a his team mate and friend with their underwear ripped and over their head.  Yes that right their underwear!!!  They got into a little wrestling match and thought it would be funny to give each other a wedgie.  They pulled a little too hard and RIP!  Let's just say we hope Forrest can still have kids after that one!  The guests thought it was so funny they were rolling in the grass laughing so hard they were crying......well me, Brian and Ronda were anyway

Last on the list of our crazy busy week was Fun Day at school for my kids.  This is kinda like a feild day with lots of games and relay races.  They rent inflatable bounce houses, obstacle course, and slide.  they have facepainting as well.  This year was tough for me cause grades K-2 were up by the school while 3-8 were down on the various fields below the school.  I was walking up nd down the hill all day to try to catch the different kids at their different activities.  Here's what I did get for pics.....

Kaleigh on the moon bounce.

Parker coming out of the obstacle course

Blake checking on the competition during one of his races.

It was by far the busiest week I have had in a LONG time and I am looking forward to my bed and relaxing here at home tomorrow after church, trying to catch up on long overdue housework.   I just pray the thunderstorms we are supposed to get tonight don't wake the kids up...otherwise it will be another long night with three kids in my bed...AAAAHHHHH!

Paint, stamps, and stories

Posted on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 09:13

We have had a busy week of school and are winding down with only a few weeks left.  All this week the boys have been bugging me to paint with these foam stampers that we have.  Finally Thursday, I told them they could on one condition...They had to write a story to go with it.  They were very eager to get started and create their story with the set of stamps we had.  I must say it was probably one of the best writing assignments we have done in months.  They were so focused and creative.  It was by far the best writing that my 5 year old had done all year.  He worked so hard sounding everything out and using his spaces between words.  I was impressed that he really only got a few words misspelled.  He is growing leaps and bounds!  My daughter was "a sap"  ,as the DH put it, and wrote a love story about two people meeting, getting married, and living happily ever after.    She's almost nine, I guess those things are bound to start happening.  I found out that my four year old has quite the imagination.  He created a picture and dictated his story to me. I was about a magical forest where the trees, leaves and apples could talk and how they made friends with the people.  He had me going and going.... I almost needed another page!   LOL!  Well I really must keep it short....the kids are all sleeping soundly, the hubby is working in the garage, and I have a sink full of dishes calling my name.  Maybe next post  I can tell you about the cool educational event we attended on Friday, complete with pictures.

Looking for female

Posted on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 12:53

We have a male stud dog that we have bred in the past and had great luck with.   I'm looking to get serious here and actively pursue finding a breeder that wants to use him for a stud.  He is five years old and AKC registered and up to date on all shots.   In the past we have done $350 down and $350 on proof of pregnancy.  At that time, we hand over the papers.  If you or anybody you know is interested PLEASE contact me.  Thank you.

Prayer needed

Posted on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 09:53

Dear friends here at Homestead, I am asking for prayer.  I am asking that you pray that the Lord give us clear direction in our lives.  As you know the cost of EVERYTHING is going up.  Gas, food, our health insurance has just doubled.  While all of this is happening my husband's paycheck has been diminishing.  He gets paid on commission.   If people buy,  he gets paid, if they don't,  he doesn't.  With the economy being as bad as it is....no one is buying.   It continues to be a tough time with us having to pay out more than we earn.  Praise the Lord, we have had a little extra in the savings account to fall back on, but as this period in our ecomomy continues, we are slowly depleting that reserve.  It is only a matter of time when that is all gone.  Our dilema is this.  There is a part time teaching position in the town that I live. I would teach preschool 8-12 daily.  The major problem is we homeschool.  I don't see how it would work for us to continue our homeschooling journey if I took this job.  What would I do with them 3 days out of the week while I am at work? I could sub two days a week on the days my hubby is home and he could school the kids.  That would bring about $400 a month into the home.  DH is not fond of the idea because he feels we would never get to see each other.   I have also been thinking about raising lab puppies and selling them because I just recently had a dream about it.    I need to do more research and find out what the actual income would be per litter and how many ltters could get.  Through everything the Lord has brought us through so that we could homeschool, I don't feel he wants us to abandon that.  But I can't help but wonder, what if it was just for a season and it is time for a different path in our lives.  I need clear direction from the Lord without the enemy butting his head in and filling us with doubts and insecurities.  I thank you for your prayers as we seek what God's will is for us in all of this.

Mother's Day a little late

Posted on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 11:31

I had a wonderful Mother's day.  I didn't cook a single meal that day (my mom cooked lunch for us and my grandmother)  and got what I had asked my family for.  My garden!!!!   There was a down tree in my vegetable garden, so I couldn't do anything in there until it was removed.  My wonderful hubby and kids made it happen.  He cut up the tree and hauled it away and the kids started pulling the rocks and weeds.  My four year old told me I didn't have to work in the garden and that I could just relax.  How precious is he!?!  It's all turned over and ready for planting!  We ended the day by going to Friendly's.  My dad and his wife had sent me a gift card because they knew that Friendly's is my favorite place to go with the kids.  So we had dinner on my Dad and Liz.......  Thanks Dad and Liz!!   Well I must go and make serve lunch for the famished crew.......Till next time..........

Wild Hair Night

Posted on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 04:47

First let me say that I am so thankful that we are blessed to have been led to a church that makes learning and serving the Lord fun.  I remember going to church as a kid and it being such a bore.  Most days,  my kids love going to church and hearing about the Lord.  THe Sunday School teachers make it real and fun and the Thursday night youth group (Olympians) are always coming up with crazy fun things to do and ways to get more kids in to hear the gospel.  Last night was no different.  We had Wild hair night.  What does this have to do with the Bible you ask?....Well nothing really except that it tied in perfectly with the lesson about being beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.  The lesson was actually done by the 5th and 6th grade girls and they did a skit was was really well done and held the attention of the rest of the group.  We are currently doing a Christian Service called Koins for Kinzers.  The Olympains are raising money that will go toward a missionary family in Kenya that we support.  It is grades 1,3,5 against grades 2, 4,6.  The team who raises the most money gets to dunk one of our leaders in a dunking booth.  The teens are even getting involved by paying to dunk one of  THEIR  leaders.  The money we raise from the teens will go to pay for the dunk booth, which will make all the money raised from grades 1-6 all for the Kinzer family.   Parker can't wait till next year when he gets to be in Olympians too.  He sees his big sister who gets to do all this fun stuff and he wants IN!!  Here is a pic of Kaleigh's WILD hair.....................

10 years

Posted on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 08:42

Today is the day I started dating my wonderful husband 10 years ago.  I just doesn't seem like we have been together that long but the calendar doesn't lie.  I know that God brought us together and I am extremely lucky to have him by my side.  My aunt who was in the hospital dying of cancer gave me his number after he had asked about me.  It took me a while to call but I eventually did.  He made a wonderful first impression on me and I decided to take him up on his offer to come watch him play softball one evening....... here we are ten years and three kids later.  If you read this baby I love you more and more with every passing day!!!   10 reasons I love my hubby.

1.  He serves the Lord.

2. He is a great dad.

3.  He makes me laugh.

4. He provides for his family's financial needs.

5.  He supports my decision to homeschool.

6.  He is smashingly handsome.

7.  He is an extremely hard worker.

8.  He is honest with me when I need him to be.

9.  He is a jack of all trades and can fix just about anything.

10.  He looks great in his baseball uniform...lol!

Nothing to do?

Posted on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 09:39

I can't believe it.  It is Saturday morning and I have nowhere to go and nothing to do.  It feels SOOOOOO good!  No baseball games to run to, no church events to lead or attend .....nothing.   The only thing on my list of to do's today is to pick up my daughter from her Girl Scout retreat.  I dropped her off last night and got asked to lead songs and games for about an hour.  With nothing prepared I did my best.  We sang some songs, played telephone, duck duck goose, hot potato, and another handslapping game that I can't spell.  I stayed and watched her play a couple of relay games with another troop and then I was off.  I came home said goodnight to my boys and spent some snuggle time with the hubby,

I got the kids closets all cleaned out this week and have a huge black garbage bag full of clothes to bring to church tomorrow.  Things they have out grown of and things they just don't need.  I mean really,  how many t-shirts does one really need???  I try to keep fourteen outfits and no more than that.  Less is definately more.  After four of us and a dog living in 700 square feet with NO storage space, I have become addicted to purging things and getting rid of things that aren't used often.   I lived with clutter for so long that I now can't stand it.  Unfortunately, I have more clutter than I would like to have, simply because I have not had the time to declutter certain areas.   Maybe seeing I have no where to go I'll clean my closet out and pack away all my sweaters and winter wear.   Then I'm going to spend some QT with my boys while thier sister is away.  Hmmm what fun thing can we do????  I have to think about it while I'm doing my closet.  Till next time.......

a bit of this and that

Posted on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 08:33

My posts will be getting few and far between because we are getting into the "so busy I can't even think straight" time of year....you know the time.......when you have so much yard work to do that you can't keep up with the inside.  We have been plugging away on our 3 acres and have the added load of keeping up with the rental properties we own.  Baseball is in full swing for me, my hubby and my son, which means just about every evening  will be spent at the ball field.  The kids are getting spring fever big time and want to be outside playing rather than doing their lessons.  We did do school out on the picnic table a few days last week.  AHHHHHH the perks of homeschooling

Hubby and I are going to wait till the fall to roll forward with the whole foster care thing.  We just don't have the time right now to attend the classes needed to get the license.

I have accomplished a few items on my to do list.  I have deep cleaned my kitchen.  The other day when the kids went with grandma me and one of the teens I bought tackled it.  Ok let me explain that cause it sounds bizarre.  We have a $1000 Christian College Scholarship that our church gives out to high schoolers that attend a Christian college.  Every year they raise money for it by having a teen auction.  They auction off donated goods as well as services such as cleaning and babysitting.  I bought one for 5 hours of cleaning.  We took everything out of the cupboards and washed inside and out.  When I was done reorganizing everthing I had a whole box full of stuff that I hadn't used in years or even at all.  My cupbpoards look great and now I can find stuff without everthing falling out at me.  We also cleaned both ovens, polished all the stainless steel appliances and took everthing off the countertops and deep cleaned all that.  My coffee pot, mixer, toaster, microwave, canister...etc.  5 hours of work = a kitchen I can be proud of.

I have also tackled all of the flower beds around the house.  The grass had crept into them and they all needed to be re- edged.  That took me about three days.  But now they are crisp and have new cedar chips and look fantabulous and are ready for more plants.

Here are a few pics of what the kids have been up to.......

Kaleigh presenting the state she researched for Nation Celebration!

Parker at his very first T-ball game.

Me and my T-ball team the Riverdogs at the opening day parade!  Parker is the one all the way to the left...did I mention I am the coach for his team as well as playing on our women's church team????

Well that is all for now.....I have to go prepare the lesson for tomorrow's American Girl History Club meeting.  What can I do to keep 11 little girls ages 7-11 busy,  happy, and learning  for two hours.......Hmmmmm.

Fishing

Posted on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 01:22

My hubby went out in the yard to get some worms for opening day.  When he came back in I asked him how he did.  His reply was "We have some fast worms!"  He then showed me that after almost a half hour outside, he had only gotten one worm.   LOL!!!!  He then went to try again an hour later.  His total for worm harvesting that night was a wopping TWO worms.   I got a huge kick out of that one.  He was much more successful last night and got plenty of worms to take the boys fishing at a local pond today.  They were so thrilled to go fishing with dad that they woke up and got dressed all before 7am...(they normally don't wake up till 7:30)  Well here are some pics of their special time with Daddy.

BLAKE CAUGHT A TREE!!!!

NOW THAT"S A FISH !!!!

Trampolines and other ideas

Posted on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 08:40

Spring is such a busy time. A time for all of the things that I would like to get done.  But don't really have the extra time to get it done.  The first being getting my kids their trampoline.  You see their great grandmother, rather than spending money on individual toys they DON"T need, used her $ wisely and put it together to buy them a trampoline for the back yard.  Great excersize and great fun. However upon putting it together the frame bent so it was either a defective one or a poorly made one.  So I took it back and have been trying to research which one I should get.  I want one well made but one that does not go over the cost of the one she purchased...not too much more anyway.  I am looking for past experience from anyone that has owned or currently owns ones.  What brands are durable and what brands should I stay away from.

Second on my list of things to do is to is put an add out to stud our lab out.  He is five and could potentially make us some money.  I just need to find the right avenue to put his info out there.  So if any of you are in the tri-state New England area and have a female lab you want to breed, let me know.

Other items on my to do list include:  replacing the zipper on my son's spring jacket, hemming some of my hubby's work pants that have needed hemming for about 9 months now, cleaning out the kids closets, shampooing rugs, deep cleaning kitchen ( which means taking everything out and washing inside and out and washing tables and chairs), washing the walls, cleaning out the garden and getting it ready for planting, raking the lawn.

Well I'm not going to worry or kill myself over my wish list of things to get done.  After all is Jesus really going to care how clean my cupboards are????  No I think he will care more about who I made time to help and minister to this week.  Till next time......

April Fool's Fun

Posted on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 08:29

Today was quite the day.  It started off with me making my husband a pot of coffee as usual.  However, I proceeded to take the sugar out of the sugar bowl and replace it with salt.  To watch him take a sip of his coffee and run to the sink and spit it out was priceless!  The war had begun!  He got me back by putting an elastic on the sprayer of the kitchen sink so that when I turned it on I got sprayed.  The funny thing about this was that I thought about doing that, but I was afraid that I would forget that I did it and end up getting myself so I opted not to.  Go figure! The next prank I pulled on my lovely husband was to sew his underwear shut.  He pulled a pair out after his shower and said "What the heck is wrong with my underwear?"  I burst out laughing again and he said.  "You think your funnny, huh?  We'll see about that."  Well, he did get the last laugh.  I usually put a little Emergen-C in my water after my workouts.  It turns the water a pink hue.  Well  silly me left my water bottle unattended and he took that opportunity to put hot pepper in it.  Talk about burning a whole in your insides!!!  I told him that was just wrong.  But he said all is fair in love and war.  Man and here I thought I was one up one him.  Well I ended up getting the kids too.  I made what they thought was my homemade chicken pot pie for dinner.  It turned out to be vanilla pudding with orange, green, and yellow candies in it instead of veggies and white chocolate for the chicken.( Thanks Family Fun! )  After a couple bites, I served them their real dinner and they had their pot pie for dessert.  Here is a pic of the yummy pot pie.

The kids even got in on the pranks.  My daughter rang the doorbell to the house and then came in and shut the door and disappeared.  By the time I got to the door and opened no one was there.  She came from the living room laughing..."Got ya!"

My youngest son started yelling that he was unbuckled and even showed me a buckle.  I panicked and told him he had 10 seconds to get buckled or I was pulling the car over.  He laughed and said " I am buckled. "  My other son laughed and said " He's using the middle buckle to trick you."  HAHAHAHA!   Where do these kids get their sense of humor???

I am a mother of three. I desire to grow closer with the Lord and raise children who love and honor Him. Knowing I am a work in progress, I have decided to start this blog to keep in touch with family and friend from a far and perhaps meet some new ones who can help me in this journey of life.
