Shutting down

I am going to shut this computer down for a whole 48 hours after writing this last post.  Tomorrow we are waking up bright and early and going to World's End State Park, in PA.  We were thinking about going to Lancaster, but we did not want to spend a lot of money since we are saving up for our vacation to MA in August.  All of us are bringing our water shoes and will be enjoying the Loyalsock creek that runs along World's End State Park.  We will be having a picnic of sandwiches and chips and playing games.  For the rest of the weekend I just plan on spending some quality time with the family.

I went to Dollar General tonight and got 4 packages of the 16-count pads for $0.01 each!! I was so excited!!  I used 2 coupons from the Smart Source insert from 06/22 for a $1 off any Kotex pads. And they are $1 for the 16 count packages at Dollar General, and since they take coupons, it was a great deal!

I highly recommend this movie!  Alexis and I woke up at 5:30 this morning to watch this because it was 4 hours long!

Amazingly, there are many similarities between our relationship with our children and God's relationship with us. As His children, we demonstrate actions that disrupt God's family of believers. With selfishness, pride, and rebellion, we fail to be productive in accomplishing God's will. Daily, God must discipline us and provide the instruction in righteousness that will develop Christ-like character. Patiently, He continues to perfect the work which He has begun in us, so that our lives will bear much fruit for His name's sake (Philippians 1:6).

Just as God gently corrects and teaches you in your spiritual walk, allow the Lord to help you show that same patience towards your children.
