A proper announcement

Posted in Being
I feel bad about September's menu post.  It rather sounds as if my menus are more important than our new baby.  That is not the case AT ALL.  We are thrilled beyond reason to have another precious blessing in our lives.  Everyone is excited to have tied up the gender battle in the house (3 "boys" and 3 "girls" counting Mama and Daddy) and everyone is madly in love with "new baby."  Some of us are still referring to her as "it" since we didn't know her gender until she arrived but that's not an insult on her femininity, just a slip of the tongue due to 8 month's habit.
Here are a few photos to make y'all jealous

That's about 30 minutes after birth, having a little snacky.  It's hard work, being born is.  A girl needs some refreshments afterward.

And here she is a week or so ago, giving Mama some love.  You can't tell it here but she was smiling like crazy through most of this.  We just didn't get any pics of the actual smiles, natch.

I will try to post another one or two soon.
