House on a Cliff

Friday, July 6, 2007 - If its not broke don't fix it!

I should have took that advice!  I made a bad dumb mistake.  This Sunday is my sons birthday party we are have 12 children and 13 adults.  And holding it at an amusement center.  Next Saturday we are leaving to the beach for a week !!!!  So to look a little more summery and something special I thought why not lighten my hair?  My baby has the prettiest blond hair.  It is supper gorgeous.  I went to a drug store last night a found a hair lightener kit and did it my self.  It is HORRIBLE!  It is yellow and too light for me.  Now I have to fix it.  Do I bite the bullet and go to a salon or just buy another box of brown and try it myself.  Ugh...why did I bother messing with it in the first place.

Cant see the pictures, but I think you should go to a salon and let them fix it. If you put more chemicals in your hair now so soon, it will do more damage. Oh and I have "been there and done that". Just do what I do, blame your dd or you sister, LOL

Everytime I have tried to color my hair... YUCK... once it was ORANGE... another time it didn't even cover any gray, so just changed the hue of my undertones... and I decided it's just not worth it... I think it bothers others more than me. You're so gray... and your not even 40! Oh well, that's ME! LOL.

You do look different as a blonde. I don't think it's bad... I would have taken the yellow over the orange that I got years ago... lol. My one daughter has the same trouble... her hair gets orange with any sunlight... and she hates it. But we tried bleaching it out... and it only made it redder. Hmmmph... She cut it off just last week... couldn't stand the orange anymore.

Anyways, good luck with fixing up your hair, sounds like you are going to a salon/friend to fix it. Hope all works out well for you. How does your dh like it? They always see things differently!

Warmly, ~Melissa
