Oh, dear, what to say? The good news is that I think I'm going to get the computer back. It may be faster than my old one (it was fast, too, though!). But it won't be w/o a lot of work. My dad's already put about 12 hours of work in it. I'll have to copy files and then clone the hard drive. All this with a used motherboard and used power supply. A student came today thinking he had a lesson. He had missed the last one in Dec. and didn't know when I was starting back. His mom said they hadn't practiced so much during the break (what's new?) and that they're going to do better now. I asked him if he remembered that I will give double practice pennies and he said no. He and his sister need it more than any of my students. The mom also said that she's not even going to bother with sending the books when they go to their dad's house. What? Tomorrow at 8:30 I'm going to the dentist to see about the gum around one of my crowns. It's feeling like there's a tooth coming in! Well, it feels like it's coming in between the gum and the tooth, not actually on top of the gum where a tooth would normally come in. It's really weird. It doesn't hurt, really, just kinda. Molly has a test over all the countries in Europe tomorrow (identifying them). She did pretty good on an online activity identifying them. Lacey went home w/a friend today and had a great time. They both had showers. Perry played golf this afternoon, came home, ate supper and then went to church for GROW. |
