Do you support gay/lesbian rights unknowingly? Or perhaps pornographic sites?
I have been trying to be more mindful of what businesses I support and what websites I visit. For instance when I found out that McDonald’s supported the gay/lesbian chamber of commerce, we stopped eating there. Well, we weren’t the only family to boycott and from all I have read, McDonald’s cancelled their support because of that boycott.
Well, I have enjoyed many playlists on several blogs and decided to add one to my own blog. However, when I visited the site to set one up, every other page had a very inappropriate ad on it. I couldn’t even let my son sit next to me when I went to that site for fear that ad would come up again. Let me just say it was a very immodestly dressed woman, if she was dressed at all! Well, today, I decided a playlist wasn’t worth that and I deleted my account. I did leave a comment (which the site asked for) while deleting my account. I told them exactly why I did it.
Do you take a stand on issues like that? Or do you let it slide because it’s easier to ignore it? I believe as a Christian I should take a stand for what is right.
Someone once told me of a website that lists what kinds of things businesses support, but now I can’t remember the name of the site. Does anyone know what I am talking about and could tell me what it is?
I can’t believe how long it has been since I have been on here. Thank you to all of you that sent messages letting me know I was missed. Well, I still don’t have a computer/internet at home! I am supposed to have soon, just hasn’t been a priority lately. I am on a borrowed computer now and thought I would hop on here for a bit and give you an update.
We have been doing fine around our home. We are keeping busy with the boys sports and just life in general. I know you can all relate. I really miss reading all the great posts on homestead and the encouragement from all my wonderful friends here. I hope I am able to return more frequently now. It’s getting late and I better get to bed.
