HI!! Welcome to the first Carnival of Homesteading. We are happy to have you stop by. We have many great posts this time.
So grab your organic coffee and a piece of that coffee cake you just made from scratch, and come along as we learn about homesteading.
We will begin in "the Kitchen" with Journey to Simplicity . Here we learn about the cost break down on pizza for the family in "Gourmet Pizza: Fresh, Fast, and Frugal." She also shows us how to can, preserve, and otherwise store fresh foods, even if you do not have a garden by "Putting Food Away When You Don’t Garden." And she uses those fresh foods to make "Salad: Not your Mama’s Lettuce and Tomato" with ideas for making substantial, healthful, and tasty salads by thinking outside of the box (or the salad bowl as it were).
Now we head to prairiemom, to make "Easy Crescent Rolls". She used this recipe for her daughter’s recent high school graduation party. They were a big hit and not difficult to make.
Grandma Rosie’s Texas Home gives us a delicious summery treat called Tomato Butter from your garden. Spicy and flavorful, excellent with meats. Can now to preserve that wonderful taste of summer long after the harvest is over.
Now go from the kitchen to The HomesteadBlogger Front Porch, to see an upclose look at one man’s coop design which would make a beautiful home for anyone’s backyard chicken flock in "This Coop Is For You!"
Make sure to tell your friends about this.

I just posted a blurb about this carnival at HomeschoolBuzz.com. I hope this is as successful as the carnival of homeschooling.
