Bedside Baptist

Yes, I attended Bedside Baptist this morning, Pastor Sheets officiating....lol

That is what a friend of mine used to say when he skipped church. The girls and I stayed home this morning, I hate missing...but we were all tired, and tomorrow starts a very busy week, so I chose to stay home. Dh is working today, so the girls and I will spend the day at home. I have a bit of laundry to catch up on, and I didn't get the floors done yesterday...so I will have to face that today as well. Dd4 has just informed me that..."I was praying about it, and Jesus says I should swim today"....LOL! Too funny ! I get the feeling she wants to take a dip in her little pool today...what I way to ask though....cracked me up. She starts Mothers Day Out at our church tomorrow....I am not really needed a day away from her, but my best friend is the coordinator, and so many of dd friends are going to be there. We are going to give it a try for a while, but if it starts to be too much once we start school at the end of the month...I will take her out. It is only a couple of mornings a week, so we will be doing school on Saturday mornings to make up for the lost day. But Dh works on Saturdays, so it has always been just another day for us.

I suppose I should get off this computer...that laundry just doesn't do it self...I know, I have tried to give it plenty of time to get itself done...but to no avail! Off I go......

Here I Go A'Bloggin'

What to write as a first blog...hmmmmm. first impressions are the most important, right? No pressure there, huh! I won't try to be fancy, because fancy I am not. I am a wife to a wonderful, Godly man, and the mother to two beautiful little girls. I love the Lord with all my heart, and try to put Him first in every area of my life. Our dd2 has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and a seizure disorder...we have had the priveledge of watching her healing be manifest each day. This year will mark our first year of homeschooling, dd4 will start preschool at the end of this month. We are using Calvert Curriculem, and are VERY excited for the school year to start! We live on a small plot of land, a little under 5 acres...only been here a few months, and we are new to homesteading...but learning as fast as we can! We are simple, but fun....we love each other very much, and are a close family. I am glad to have this blog to be able to share and "vent"....and meet some other homesteaders along the way!

So...there it is, my first blog. It really wasn't so hard after all:)
