As you know, I am also a big fan of Dave Ramsey. He was on ABC Good Morning America. The closing question/statement was about the fact that he didn't have ANY credit cards. Robin(the host) seemed stunned by that idea. I hope that a lot of people will check out his website from that statement alone. God Bless. I

No Credit Cards

It is my hope and prayer that the word gets out and people see there is a better alternative.
As for the "no credit cards"- YES! I too hope people will check him out- just because of that.
I very recently told our church treasurer that I could not pay for a large amount and get reimbursed because we do not have credit cards. Boy, did I get a look! Like I was a crazy person and then they nodded their head and murmured something about that being real smart.
It is smart- though, as in this instance, it can be a bit of a hassle but I will also prefer a bit of hassle over dangerous debt issues.

Hi Amy,
I have repeatedly emailed my senators and congressman asking them to vote no on the bailout. I don't agree with Dave Ramsey on eliminating capitol gains taxes because it will cost us a lot...right now we are collecting 15% tax and that income will be eliminated.
Amy, if you hadn't been allowed to get the credit you used to have, would you have gotten in the trouble you used to be in? No. This whole credit contraction, if allowed to continue unharmed by our government, will bring us back to rational credit limits.
I heard a popular financial commentator on TV last night lamenting that credit card limits will be severely lowered, and then how will people pay for groceries? She totally missed the concept that you shouldn't be buying groceries on time or paying 30% interest on grocery bills. Very sad.

I have been praying for our leaders, and of course for the upcoming election. I don't know who or what we should do about the problem, but I know everyone is whining and complaining, and I refuse to be one of them. Praying is a much better way to handle it.

Thanks for including the link to the page. I will go look at it now. I love Dave Ramsey!
