I have just published an article that some of you ladies might find helpful. I hope that it is beneficial.

The rain here has been tearing up things in San Diego. Two of our lemon trees broke in half and the tarps over our chicken enclosure keep blowing with the heavy winds. Bricks and wood is keeping the tarps from becoming wind a wind tunnel. The blessing is it will save a lot on our water bill. Many people whose house is on level ground are getting flooded. One of the reasons I told my husband we should take this place is that it sits on a high hill on solid rock. There are no houses nearby to slide down on us or rocks either. The house is not built on the edge of a cliff where it can slide off either. We may not get rain like this here often, but when you do, its wise to be on high land.

God gives you common sense, and you should use it. The steep, uneven terrain is hard on my feet and knees but solid in the face of storms. Faith is the same way, you always need it, but in times of storms, it is what keeps you alive. God bless all of you this night with what ever you may be facing in weather or bad times.

Goodnight,
Kate
P.S. I even got two eggs in this nasty weather. There are always blessings if you look for them.

Hi ladies,
I am contracted to write three articles for AC Content in the health and wellness section. Since I am not ready to start the classes, I thought I would post some of the articles I have written that may be helpful to some of you. The article is on Fibroid tumor reduction with natural methods other than hysterectomies and powerful drugs.

I did suffer from them for several years and I did avoid a hysterectomy. If you have any questions on that subject, I would be happy to give you direction.

The fibroid article is here,

Thank you for the support

I am so sorry that a couple of you are also in pain with your back and neck. It is so odd that I did not hurt mine in the farm duties but going to the store. Buying in bulk is good for saving money but bad for the back. There is part of my injury that may be due to the injury 2 years ago when I fell down stairs and nearly broke the left knee. At the time, I didn’t have any health insurance and it took a year to get better. The knee was torn inside the knee cap. Last night, there was swelling in the calf around and underneath the knee so there may be more problems that just the back injury. Since I do have health insurance, I may go in if it doesn’t get better soon. Of course, being a new year, the deductible is not met, so it will cost a lot of money.

Chiropractic has helped so many times and a good chiropractor is worth his weight in gold. Chiropractic has not helped the knee much. Tumeric over the past two years, has done the most good and relieved the pain and helped heal whatever is wrong in it. I also take some Chinese herbs that act as an anti-inflammatory, without side effects, addiction, or killing my liver. Lately though my knee has been giving me more discomfort. Part of the problem, is my husband has not been able to lift anything since his surgery. The animal food bags, dog food bags, scratch, and all of it is heavy and our property is steep and uneven. This lack of stable footage is hard on my knee. We have tons of steps going up to the area as well. So the yard is not kind to my bad knee. Normally, with twisting my back out, there should not be the degree of swelling in the knee and calf So, after last night, with the area of the knee and calf so swollen, there may be two things going on.

I will go for an x-ray if it continues to swell, to see what I am dealing with. It helps to have a diagnosis. I just don’t use the high powered drugs that kill your liver. I am very sensitive to pain pills. I am out for hours with one, I cannot function using them. I choose to have some pain, versus be completely dysfunctional. There is a level of pain, where pain pills become necessary, so I do understand that. The main point is try to take them for as little a time as possible. Try to go longer in between doses if possible and take the less addicting ones.

An example is Vicodin. Try a half tablet to see if it will work before you take a whole one. See if you can go 8 hours instead of 6 hours between doses. Take Magnesium and Calcuim to help with muscle pain. The Chinese herbs I take work well except for the knee this time. The knee is really nasty. Tumeric has really kept me going with knee pain until this week. I increased the dosage last night to see if that works. This morning its hard to tell yet. You have to experiment to see what works. Sometimes great pain takes a much greater dose of alternative medicine to do the job.

It is important to rest the limb. I know its really tough with farms and family. When you are down with pain, it is time to ask your friends, family, and husband to do more. We have a man who lives on the property, this being a three family plot. We have the main house, then there is a studio and one bedroom the landlord rented out. I asked our friend who lives in the studio to take the trash down the long drive way to the road and to carry some feed up to the chicken coop. I normally do it all but I needed help and asked for it. That is hard to ask for help with chores. Often we are always doing for others, but will not ask for help when we need it. When you laid up is a good time to let others give you blessings. I also prayed for myself when often I don’t. We always pray for others but often don’t include ourselves. Since we often are important to the family cell, if we are down, it certainly impacts our family. Let people know you need prayer as well. Prayer does help heal and does help pain. I envision myself and those I pray for being bathed in healing white light. I see the light bathing the area that is hurt or painful. I also pray for comfort and ease of pain when praying. God heals but not always on our time frame. Sometimes we do not get healing when we need it and its hard to understand. That is when Faith comes in. God is always there beside you in the pain helping you to get through it. So for those of you in pain as I am, know that God is there.

Hi Ladies,

I threw out my back and left side so have not been able to get much done. The injury is in the lower back but the pain goes down the whole left leg especially into my knee cap that was hurt two years ago. I am writing so you will understand why the silence in the blog.

Its really strange about back injuries, they happen at the most unexpected movements. I have chickens and I cart my plants around and all of that without much trouble here for a couple of years.

My husband and I went to Cost Co which is a store where everything in in bulk. All the cans are huge. Since my husband is still in a neck brace and can’t lift over 10 pounds, I have been doing a lot more than usual. They loaded a box full of some heavy cans and it got stuck in the cart. I was pulling and lifting, trying to get it out and felt something pull in my back. I was tired anyway so we went to bed early. I got up the next morning and was in pain. It got worse to the point I could hardly function. It is now over a week later, and the pain is beginning to get better.

Chiropractic treatments, a Chinese anti-inflammatory, and herbal pain patches have slowly helped it. So that is why you have not heard from me since the New Year and why the classes are not started. I am deeply sorry for the delays and lack of posts.

Since I am still in quite a bit of pain, I will start the classes in Feb. My back should be normal again. I have been in bed a lot with the pain and my brain does not work well under those circumstances. I do hope your New Year has gone well and that you ladies didn’t start your year this way. God Bless You.

Do let me know if you are still interested. I hope you do not feel upset at me, the injury and pain has cost a lot of time and I am so behind in everything.

Have A blessed Christmas and New Year too!

I just want to wish you all a blessed day tomorrow, joy, hugs for all you love, joy for the day, and thanks that you can have Christmas however you wish without government persecution. For me because I nearly died two years ago this Christmas, it is a beautiful celebration of life…..that God renewed my contract here on earth to spend time with my children and grandchildren once more.

I will be starting classes here in the New Year. I ended up a lot busier than I thought. My husband had neck fusion and has not been able to do much so I have had more on my plate. I will shortly get back to weekly writing here again. God Bless you and your family.
Kate
