Being ThankfulAt my favorite website www.familyhomestead.com someone challenged everyone to state one thing they are thankful for each day between now and Thanksgiving. That is a great idea! :) So...for today.... I am thankful that God guided and directed my husband and myself 4 years ago to sell the home we were living in and buy my dad's home. My dad had asked us to do that so he could retire in the home he loved. Little did we know that a year after that my dad would end up with such severe health problems that he was forced to retire. Had we not bought the home, there was a chance he could have lost it. Fast forward to today and we have my dad and another 5 family members living with us because my bil was laid off and the company closed it's doors in May. They were able to sell their home right as our housing market is crashing and move in with us. God knew all these events would take place, and he provided a home large enough to be able to easily manage so many people. God is good! He provides even before we know we need it! I had an idea! I put little pieces of paper on the table this morning and a container for everyone in our home to write every day one thing they are thankful for. Each day they must write something different. On Thanksgiving morning as we eat breakfast, we are going to read these! :) What about you? What are you thankful for today? Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 88 of 123 } { Next Page } |
