Canning Excitement
I'm SO EXCITED!!!!!
Tomorrow after work I get to pick up a canner/pressure cooker that I saw on Freecycle. YAY!!!! I wasn't able to do some of the canning I had planned due to Tim being laid off of work and I couldn't afford the pressure canner. But now I CAN can!!!!!! Hehehe.

Me too! Only mine got picked up by a friend who already has a canner, and wanted to get it for me! So cool! Now we can have a canning party together! I am SO going to over load the garden this year, and can like a mad woman!

I am so happy for you that you found this pressure canner! I love Freecycle, Craigslist, etc for finding treasures, while helping others declutter. If you have a County Extension Office there, they will test the pressure valve for you and inspect your new unit. I highly recommend having your pressure canner tested-being off a bit can affect the finished product-and it is so easily done.
Happy, happy!
