Painting of A Room

   On Wedneday and Thursday, DD and I cleaned out her room. We sorted through all kinds of stuff. It was a lot of work and I am glad that is done. A lot of good stuff went to the Salvation Army on Friday (5 bags) and 7 bags went into the trash. Yes, I said 7 bags. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!

   DD went to stay at her grandparents for the night. All the cousins, Aunts and Uncles are coming for the day. She should have a wonderful time. Dh and I went to work as soon as she left the house. We went and purchased her a new mattress and box spring. We went to Lowe's and purchased primer and paint to paint the walls. This will be a surprise for DD. She doesn't know this is happening. The walls were pepto bismo pink, lavender (trim) and purple (trim). Yikes. I was so sick of those walls. Dh and I picked out a very pale lavender and we are going to bring color in the room with accents. We purchased sheets, bed spread, rug (really a throw that we will use as a rug), curtains and another throw from a yard sale several months ago. We got everything for 20 dollars. We will add a little of the cheetah material back into the room. I will try and post pics after everything is finished.

   Dh is in the room painting. He hates the way everyone but himself paints so he is painting by himself. He says he hates to paint but I truely thinks he likes to paint. I am washing all kinds of things and getting things ready to put the room back together. Monday

Today is a wonderful day at the Homestead. We don’t have anything planned today but school work and light cleaning. I don’t need to go into town for anything. Later this week, we might have a homeschool meeting. Things will slightly pick up by next month. We will have homeschool group meetings and piano will start up again. Our family has three birthdays in September. They will be low key again this year. Every few years I will throw a big party. It will not be this year. Lol.

The garden is still doing wonderful. Dh put okra in the freezer this weekend and I put tomatoes in the freezer. We had an easy weekend, which I love. I am going to try to get my hair done this week. It is about time that I spent some money on my hair. I have been so cheap lately. God Bless. I
