Friends are FamilyI'm feeling so blessed by all the people the Lord has surrounded us with. We've been living away from our extended family for over 4 years now. It took a while to get to this point where I have friends that I can count on like they were my family. It really took me stepping out of my shell and getting more involved in our church and homeschool group so that we could meet people with similar values.Tomorrow the kids and I are driving 45 minutes to visit my good friend and her kids . We are having our 2nd annual 100 party. We did one together last year where the kids made necklaces with 100 beads, a big bar cookie with 100 chocolate chips, and some other activities I'm not remembering right now. I'm not sure what we'll be doing tomorrow but it will revolve around the number 100.  Then tomorrow night another friend will be watching the kids while I'm at choir/praise team practice (which tends to run late) so that Anthony can get to bed early. The older two are going to be sleeping over and she'll be bringing them home early the next morning when she brings her 2 boys over for me to babysit like I normally do on Fridays. All this is probably normal for most people, but it is still wonderful and new and exciting for me. I'm praising God that he has answered my prayers for friends that I can be close to and count on for just about anything.
