I have not posted for such along time and so much has happened I don't know were to start so I guess I will start at the beginning of the year. The first weekend in April a dog got in and killed six of our nine chickens. It was so sad and to make it worse our favorite chicken died. But then we got eighteen chicks and now we are getting around a dozen eggs a day.
Here are some pictures of our chickens. The white are our three older ones.
Here are the chicks. We had two roosters in with our chicks so we had to trade with a friend that does pure breed chickens.
In March and April we got three milk goats and four baby goats. Our first two goats were Susan and Joseph. Joseph is Susan's baby and we had to sell him and all the other baby goats. Susan is two and a half years.

Sorry this is so long but I have not posted in such along time.
Sorry I have not been posting in such a long time. We have gotten about a foot of snow since the last time I posted maybe more because it has snowed since I last measured.
The chicken that I posted about earlier died the 22nd of December and my whole family has been sick with the stomach flu. Two of my family members got it one at a time and then on Monday five of us got sick. My dad is the only one that did not get sick. Well that is all I have to post. I hope some of you will comment.
Well last night it snowed five inches. I think we will get some more snow storms before christmas.
Well thats all I have to post right now. I hope some people will comment. I don't know if I will post before christmas. So I wish every one a merry christmas.
My brother, sister and me went out to check on the chickens and we had a wonderful surprise. One of our chickens had laid an egg! We were so excited. We had to call my dad, my grandma and two friends.
Well last night we finally got our chickens. There are ten, we bought nine and then the person gave us one as a gift, it is the black one. It is a Black Sex-Link and the white ones are White Plymouth Rocks.
Our neighbor had a old play house on stilts that he didn't want any more, so my dad thought that we could use it as our chicken coop. It was so scary cutting it down. Here are some pictures of it before on the inside and of taking it down.
My family has been blessed by adopting a apple orchard. We have taken over a busines so we are selling the apples and apples cider. What a job!
Last saturday we were pressing the apples and two peaple had called and made apointments to press their apples and then one person just showed up and asked if we would press his apples. So we ended up pressing all day. We finished cleaning up at around five o'clock.
I will try and post some pictures of the apple orchard some time.
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. There has been to much to do. We have been busy putting up food. We have been making plum and grape juice, pressing apple cider and harvesting the garden.
All right here is the huge blessing. The pasture behind my house well the person that owns it is selling it my family and here is a nother huge blessing some one is moving and they have chickens and were they are moving they can not take there chickens and so they have to sell them. They have already sold some but they are saving eight chicken so we can buy them.
Here are two picture of the pasture behind my house. My family also has two horses out in the pasture they are in the picture below. There names are the roan is Pepperoni and the palomino is Dutch.
My grandpa has five horses and my favorite is the youngest, Nipper he is a chestnut. The small picture off to the side is of him.
I'm a cowgirl and don't have a horse of my own. But my grandpa has some. I like to read, play the piano, ride horses, be outside and sew. I'm homeschooled and my favorite subjects are reading and writing.
