Okay, here are some seed catalogues I like. Keep in mind I am in Canada, but I am sure you can get them sent to the USA too.
www.veseys.com They are in Prince Edward Island and I just love dealing with them! They have a lot of seeds for our short Canadian seasons.
www.stokeseeds.com My family has always had a greenhouse operation, and now mostly focuses on the flower shop business. My grandfather always ordered a lot of seed from this company. He and my great grandfather were master gardeners and thank goodness, I inherited the green thumb!
http://seeds.thompson-morgan.com/us/en/index?ER=overus;term=seed+company This is a US company, and my family has bought from them also. Their catalogue is great, but I recall they were pricey. Either that, or I am just cheap!
http://www.seeds.ca/rl/rl.php This site is amazing and has all sorts of different people and companies specializing in heirloom seeds and plants. Lots of links here!
http://www.clpgh.org/subject/gardening/catalogs.html This has a lot of US companies, and I want to check it out further!
http://www.dominion-seed-house.com/en-CA/index.aspx?CatID=9 This place is a half hour drive from me and it is amazing! I have ordered a lot from here.
http://www.richters.com/ If you like to grow herbs, or want to start, this is THE place to go! They have every herb imaginable!! They are also great to deal with!
That should keep all of you out of trouble for a little while! If you want to check out an awesome country living magazine called Harrowsmith, try this one. I love it! I am just re reading the April edition, it has 14 pages on hobby chicken farming, how to use passive solar heat, bargains in rural real estate, etc. It is a great resource!

Oh yes, and for all sorts of country and homesteading hadgets and gizmos, try Berryhill Limited
http://www.berryhilllimited.com/ They have the neastest stuff for country living, including hand cranked washing machines!
I think all these links work but let me know if they don't, and happy dreaming!
Blessings,
Ellie
