My Ramblings

Update

So, last week I tried to update, but wasn't able b/c for some reason the site wouldn't come up.  Strange.  i'll try again.  My mom is in town.  She is watching ds today. 

This weekend we visited my mil and fil.  They treated us to Mexican food! (thanks southernbelle!)  We stayed at their house afterwards.  Then, my dh got our oil changed.  We needed it!  It was nice to have the car vacuumed out.  We were able to get a good bit of cleaning done this week.  Last week dh was sick with what seemed to be the flu.  I stayed home with him 1 1/2 days to take care of him.  I was able to get some much needed chores done around the house while he slept.  Although, now i have to disinfect our comforter set.  I'm not sure how to do this.  Maybe lysol?  I hate the thought of smelling lysol in bed, though.  I have started going to a water aerobics class with some friends.  We are enjoying it.  I haven't gone jogging since starting the class, so I'm starting jogging up again today.  I am going after work.  Previously, my friends and i did the aerobics where we could stand in the water holding weights.  But this past time, we treaded water while we did it, and i can feel the burn a lot more.  I think I'll do it that way from now on.  Plus, we did laps after the class, and I really enjoyed that.  Last night I made shrimp and corn bisque.  It is good and creamy.  Dh and I ate it for lunch today with a chef salad and a sandwich on this cheesy-rosemary bread that a friend of mine made for us.  She is an excellent cook.  And only 20.  Tonight we are going to watch 24 with some friends.  I have gotten to where I can't watch all of it b/c of the violent nature of some of the scenes.  They really don't show much, but just the implications are enough to make me cringe a bit.  I still enjoy the show, though.  There are some creepy people in this world.  Anyway, I better get off of this and get back to work.

You don't get cold and snow like we do in Miss.? I don't mind the winter weather, but I don't think I could handle your heat. I guess it's all what we're used to. If you enjoy Mexican food, I posted some recipes in August of 2006. They are in my archives if you would like to try them. praying Knox doesn't come down with what hubby had...the bisque sounds yummy....I know my puter has a mind of it's own, i tell you sometimes I feel like giving it to another home..lol....Enjoy your day...Debbie p.s. I think it is time for more pics of the little man.....
