My Ramblings

I have several days off this week from work.  It has been nice so far because I am able to get some things done around the house.  Plus some last minute cleaning before little Knox arrives.  Still no baby, but he should be coming any day now.  So far today I've:

Put away the dishes

Straitened dh and my portion of the house
Cooked lunch
Cleaned the kitchen

Worked on my knitting

I still have to sweep and put away the laundry. 

I have been mostly been resting, though.  The weather has been very rainy today.  I have enjoyed it, though, b/c i like when i'm able to be home and it rain. 

I want to make gumbo for dinner (it's such perfect gumbo weather since it's cooler outside and wet!) but I only have sausage.  I wish I had some chicken or shrimp to throw in the pot.  Hmm...

I stuck my basil plant on the stoop this morning to get some benefit from the rain.  I think it'll do it some good.  I need to replant it in a larger container, really.

Hi, and thanks for stopping by my new food blog! Congrats on the baby too, how exciting! The 19th is a good date, my grandsons, he'll be one, then my youngest son's is the 29th, he'll be 22! Blessings for a safe and quick delivery, be sure to let us know when the baby comes!

I read Southernbelle's post and laughed becasue when I read your blog I also thought the nesting instinct had kicked in :)

Everyone is making nice, hearty soups and stews today. I am inspired, but I don't feel like driving to the store to get meat!~ LOL Shame on me.
