Daily Grind

Today I am posting on my new computer!  I am so excited about it!  It is very pretty.  Last night I tried to make sushi  for dinner.  It did not work out so well.  I did not have nori (seaweed that is a binder), so the rice kinda fell apart.  But, I think if I do it again next time with nori, it may work out better.  It really was easy, actually.  I got my recipe from Alton Brown's Good Eats on the foodnetwork.  That is one of my favorite shows. 

My dh and I went to our inlaws for dinner tonight.  My mother-in-law (southernbelle) cooked rotissary chicken, squash from her garden, green bean casserole, corn on the cob, sweet potatoes (my favorite), rolls, and sweet tea.  It was soooo good!!!  When our house is finished, we'll have to have them over for dinner.   After that we stopped by the church league softball games to see my father-in-law play ball.  We only stayed a few minutes.  I'm not sure who was winning.  My f-i-l was just finished pitching when we left.

The other day before work, my alarm did not go off, and I overslept!  I woke up at a quarter 'til eight, having to be at work at eight.  It is helpful that we currently are living with my Dad, who is also my boss, at this instance, b/c I rushed to get ready, and he was understanding.  I was only 15 minutes after 8 getting there.  I stayed an extra 15 minutes at the end of work to make it up. 

This week is my dh's birthday week.  I really get into birthdays and stuff, so he has started to, too.  I think it helps that I am celebrating with him his whole birthday week (his birthday being the culmination of the week).  We haven't really done too much during the week, but we cooked breakfast one morning (monkey bread....YUM!!!) and I may try to cook pancakes and eggs in the morning, either that or we may go to the new coffee shop around the corner.  Just little things, like sending an email, or letting him watch what show he wants when normally he'd let me.  I don't know what's instore for me next week, but I sure have dropped some hints!

The baby has been moving tonight!  My m-i-l felt him move earlier today for the first time.  It looks like he's going to be a ninja like his father.  It's strange, now, b/c we can feel him at times, and can recognize that it's a little foot or something.  It's not just random poking!
