Weekend

This weekend my dh and I went to baton rouge to visit my sister and her husband and my mom.  It was a good trip.  We went to my favorite grocery store today (Whole Foods) and it was great.  I wish we had one, but I'll settle for traveling every so often there for now.  There's is still really new.  I had sushi (the crunchy roll...which is not raw, for anyone concerned about the little one ) and rootbeer flavored gelato (which is very similar to ice cream).  It was DELICIOUS!!!  I was able to buy some much-needed new maternity clothes, as well. 

Because it has been raining this week, and also on the 4th, our town rescheduled the firework display to tonight.  Dad, dh, and  I went to the bluff to watch.  It was pretty.  Some of our friends were there, too, and it was fun to see it all with them.  Its a fun annual tradition. 

This week has been my first week at work.  My dad is my boss, and he's so busy all the time! He's a good boss.  My job seems like it will be a lot of responsibility, which is a bit intimidating, but as someone at work told me, "how do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time."  So, I'm trying to take it day-by-day. 

Does anyone have a good pizza crust/dough recipe?  I've been wanting to know how to make good homemade pizza.  But, preferably not too thick a crust.

Thick and Chewy Pizza Dough

1/2-3/4 cup warm water

2 1/4 teaspoons dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

2 cups flour

1 tablespoon oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine 1/4 cup water and the yeast and sugar. Stir to dissolve the yeast and let stand until bubbly, about 5 minutes. Combine flour, oil and salt. Stir. Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and stir until well blended. Slowly add enough of the remaining water until the dough forms a ball. Knead. Put the dough ball onto a large cookie sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand 10 minutes. Pat dough so that it covers the pan, leaving a ridge on the edges. Spread with sauce, cheese and toppings. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

It says thick and chewy, but it isn't that thick, especially if you make it on a cookie sheet instead of a pizza pan. I hope you likeit!

glad to c all is well....I have been waiting to hear from u....hope the nose bleeds don't last long..may to get it packed, could be a vein broke...son had that before...good luck meme
