Sorry I wasn't able to keep up on blogging a prayer a day for our husbands. I have just been too busy.

I am working full time as a volunteer at Wings Like Eagles, a horse camp for children with special needs. I am the vaulting coach and am heading up the fundraiser, which I am happy to say, is almost to its $10,000 goal in just 7 weeks!!! We have a tradition at WLE that each time we reach a set amount of money one of the camp counselors gets thrown in the horse trough! It's a lot of fun. Anyhow, in addition to all the fun I've been having, I sprained my ankle and possibly (I say "possibly" because I do not like going to the doctor, so I don't know for sure) fractured my heel. How? you wonder. At WLE we teach vaulting, a form of trick riding. So I was practicing stading at a canter (a fast lope for you western folk) (a slow gallop for you non-horse folk) and jumped off as my dismount. I stuck the landing just as I had planned, but I wasn't aware of the force of the landing considering the momentum. As soon as my feet hit the ground I knew I had hurt my foot pretty badly. I'm off the crutches since my ankle is feeling better, but I cannot bear any weight on my heel. I just may have to give in and go see the doc.
