Hurried Photo Update!

Last week, our cheese making kit arrived, to great excitement

I am more than ever aware that as time passes, our leaping upon such treasure and getting started is more and more delayed! Long gone are the days when cheese would have been made by hook or by crook the very same evening the kit arrived!  I find that kind of sad! However, it is already stashed away in the pantry, awaiting 'a good day'.

Now over the last few days, nay, weeks, I have walked oft into our bedroom and thought how spectacular the lilac looked, how it made it feel like walking into an Alpine chalet next to a snowcapped mountain. Then on Friday, I walked in and noticed that the flowers were past their best, and at that point of course thought to photograph them, so here they are, not at their best!

OK that only gives a very general idea, so here is a kind of close up

Yesterday was a Bank Holiday here in the UK, makes little difference to us, really, but we decided to have a sewing kind of a day, at least H sewed

Boo knitted

she was actually knitting the right way up, but for some reason I can't fix this photo. I'll get back to it later.

I started to make a skirt for her out of a bit of fabric I'd been given in the week. (Thank you Sue)

Why was this? Why were we all safely ensconced in the kitchen? Well, I told you, it was a Bank Holiday! Which means .....

and ...

my poor lilac, just as well I had taken the photo even if it was slightly sub-standard!

Still, we got the skirt finished!

LOL, great minds think alike. I was just thinking about coming over here as soon as I finished posting anyways. Oh cheese, I'd love to be there where you try it out - if nothing else, I'm sure we could have a few laughs together. And lilacs - my all-time favorite. Your tree/bush is beautiful. I was a member of the International Iilac Society many years ago - probably the only member still young enough to have my own teeth. lol. It' good you got the picture when you did! Have you ever had a dry year??? The skirt is darling! My how H & Boo have grown up since we first met. Send them my love! And yes, that would be a dream come true if we could visit your church with you some day -- and you here too sometime. Our church is small, but not that tiny. :) Have a good week my friend.
Blessings,
PlainJane
