OK, I Resolve to Try Harder
to keep up my blog. Actually, I do resolve, as I do think it helps me keep to a purpose, whereas otherwise, I might just kind of drift along for every, changing direction every day!
So what's been happening? Well, we had a visit from our friends Jade and Jason in their lovely Ruby Red VW Camper.
We got all done with lambing, we tilled the new garden ... and on a slightly too windy Saturday -

Yay! We put up our Polytunnel! It's such an exciting thing, I've looked forward to this for so long, I can't wait to get started planting!

Meanwhile some of us practised for the far distant summer showrings

and it's a good job they're far distant with that leg position and that much hair on the pony!
Do we think we are getting any better ???????

Well ... maybe a little! Could do with a few long lunge lessons for those legs though!

Now it's full steam ahead in the garden, we still have a tonne of homeschool to get through, we just started a Sunday School in our new church, and for some reason I can't quite recall I am hiking across Salisbury Plain in the middle of the night with my Girl Guides next week.

Woohoo! The poly tunnel looks great! Now I want one! Seeing photos of your daughter riding is wonderful too - thanks for sharing that! Anna saw the pictures too and said, "I need to write her". :) (yes, she does).

Oh, and no, our farrier/trainer does not use natural horsemanship. He is more of an old timer, that uses tough love. But he is very keen at observing the horse and gives it release at the slightest act of obedience. He's good -- we'd just rather train our horses ourselves slow & easy -- we're learning too. :)

Blessings,
PlainJane
