Heritage Acres Farm

My apologies...

My apologies to you my friends for my strange disposition lately... I am feeling much better now and I have a few things settled in my heart and I am so happy about that.
Today looks to be a fantastic day, I am finally feeling better, yeah! Shannon is home today, it is raining, it is Thursday... woo hoo! :) Great day ahead! :)
Tomorrow I plan on showing how to make the paper stars. That will be fun!  Have a great day my friends and I look forward to our meeting again soon. :)

Out with the bad, in with the good...

Posted in Time with God
I have been pondering and praying over today's post all day, I mean for real! Here it is almost 4 pm and I still have not posted, very unusual for me. :)
I have had something pretty heavy on my mind.  What I have decided is that I am going to rid myself of a few things... things that have been weighing my spirit down... things that are of a constant bother to me.  I have a life to lead, I have a family to care for, a husband to serve and Savior to worship.  And that is what I am going to do. :)
May your light so shine for HIM! :)

Happy December 1st

How exciting! Here we are, just 24 days away from that blessed holiday... Christmas! And what did we wake up to this morning? SNOW! Yes, if you can believe it, it was snowing here.  No it did not last long, but for those of us around these parts it was really exciting!  Especially the children.  Abram rushed to the window and then ran to his room, put on at least 4-5 shirts and 3 pairs of pants and his overalls on over everything... he looks so chunky because of all the clothes.  It was really cute.
I have been sick most of the weekend, I got sick after our party Saturday night and have been sickly since. I feel MUCH better today, but am still quite weak from the sickness.
I have much to catch up on around here, so I must tarry.  I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Parade of Christmas Trees

Welcome everyone! I hope you had a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving.  I know we did.  Family time, fun and of course wonderful food.
On Wednesday night we went to my husbands grandparents house... and we have many young ladies on my husbands side of the family... beginning with Cameo who is now 11.5 ;), then we have a 10 year old niece, an 8 year old niece, a 6 year old cousin, then Carlie Jean who is 4, and then the youngest cousin who is 2.  So I thought, how fun it would  be to have a craft for the girls and I to make together.  So I gathered the items and we made the gumdrop trees on the left.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I think the girls did also... needless to say, they wearied about half-way through... it can be a long project if you make your tree as full as I did mine. But they did great and it was really fun to make.
I got my idea for the tree from the wreath I made last year from gumdrops.  Remember?
For the trees, I used a styrofoam cone and a bag of gumdrops and quite a few toothpicks that I broke in half.  So fun!
The other two trees I found are The recycled magazine Christmas tree and the Curled Paper Tree.
After lunch yesterday at my Mom's we made the gumdrop trees also and then made the 3-D snowflakes and some paper stars (which I will share with you next week) :) I have to keep something to bring you back... haha. :)
I hope you all have an amazing weekend.  We will be busy with preparation for our Sunday School Christmas party that we are having here.  Yes, pictures will be a must. HA! Have a great day!

Our Thankful Trees

We wanted to make a craft for school to help count our blessings.  I love the whole Thankful tree idea... but I am ready for Christmas around here.
So instead of a Autumnal tree, we made Christmas trees and on the ornaments we wrote what we were thankful for.

I know what *I* am thankful for... :)

Good Morning!

Good Morning, dear friends.
This week looks so exciting and fun and I am looking forward to each day.  We have family dinners to prepare for and a Sunday School Christmas party to be held here this weekend... good times ahead! :)
We started the week off beautifully yesterday at church.  Afterwards we had our church Thanksgiving meal.  Lots of good food and fun.  Last night we had our annual Thanksgiving candlelight service that is truly a blessing.  Friends and family testifying to God's sufficient grace and abounding love.  It was amazing!!  Truly.
On a fun note, a dear friend of mine from church showed me how to do something SO fun with my camera.  I have a color accent feature that I didn't even know about!! So, you can look for this quite a lot in the future of my pictures... haha. I LOVE it! :)
I focused on the red in this picture obviously and I adore how it brought out the glints of red in Eli's cheeks and lips... PRECIOUS!
On this picture of the girls I focused on Cameo's jean jacket and it picked up the blues... Oh my this is F.U.N!
I hope you have a GREAT Thanksgiving week, treasure your moments with your family... we have SO much to be Thankful for.
