Here's the newest addition to the family. He was born at 3:30 am by section after a lot of hard
work by Momma. He weighed 9lbs 9 oz, so it would have been something to get him pushed out!
Isn't he so sweet? Here's Momma and Baby, the little guy just about 8 hours in this world.
(And already deep in the System. But I'll be good and keep my mouth shut about that.)

She's had three grandchildren born in just over a year! What would we have done without her?

Yesterday, August 15th, our Little Man turned a year old! As is typical with me, I bit off more than I could chew and planned to bake a cake from scratch and decorate it too. I really enjoy the opportunity to do fun things like that, but I never really take into account all that it entails.

Anyway, here's how the cake turned out. I wanted a design that didn't have to be too precise, kind of sketchy looking.

He had a grand time opening his gifts and playing with them.

His morning occupation revolved around removing as many things from the (very disorganized)
 container cupboard as possible.



His afternoon ramblings included a sojourn into the bathroom,
where he had a lot of fun as well, as you can see.



So now we're vigilantly keeping bathroom doors closed. There are too many things to find,
the toilet brush being one of them. (My nightmares of Little Man include grotesque things like that, and chicken poo also factors in largely.)  Aghhh!
