What was your first job? Uhhhhhhh……….. Ummmmmmmmmmm…….. It’s a, uh, It’s a, uh…. (may I quote the wolf in the movie ‘Hoodwinked’…) It’s like, ee, uh, it’s like, ee, uh… cookies! Shortbread; chocolate icing between, very………. It’s good. It’s very good! I went on the paper routes with Mom! (only she wasn’t nine, I was eight when I was doing the job with her!)

Thursday Threesome- May 25, 2006
Hi everyone! Here’s your Thursday Threesome! Mom never got the chance to write it up so I’m doing it for her today! Oh, I almost forgot! I watched the movie ‘Dreamer’ the other day! It’s a good movie! I’m going to tell you one of the actor’s names, ok? The main person in the movie is Dakota Fanning. She was in the remake of ‘War of the Worlds’. You know, the one with Tom Cruise? 
Anyway, here’s the Thursday Threesome! LOL 
What are your three favorite names for a horse?

You know why I picked those names? Because in ‘Dreamer’, the horse’s name is Sonya, which is short for Sonador, and Sonador is Spanish for Dreamer!

If you were a dog, which breed would you be? CORGIS!!!! GOLDEN RETRIEVERS!!!! Corgi AND Golden Retriever.

Describe your disposition in a meterological term. Warm, breezy, sunny, and partly cloudy. (the ribbon clouds make a beautiful horizon in the afternoon!) 
Salad
Besides the lettuce and the greens, tell me three OTHER things you like in your salad. Tomatoes, (salad’s nothin’ without ‘em!) Wishbone™ French Dressing, and Mom’s croutons. MMMMM, MMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Main Course
If you could live one week as any historical figure, who would it be and what would you do? Hmm… I like Moses… um.. no. King David? Hmm, uh-uh. I got it! Eve! I would be Eve and I wouldn’t eat the apple of sin! And then Honey and Goldie, and everybody that anyone ever lost would be able to have them back again… only this time, they’ll live forever.

What’s your favorite beverage/drink? Iced Tea! But- HOLD THE LEMONS!! Lemons make the Iced Tea sour… but I can deal with them. (in the words of Mom, “Eww…. who drinks that powdered version???)

- Plane or train? Mom told me never to fly… she said she was afraid something like September 11th would happen to me… I’ll choose train for this
- Scuba dive or sky dive? Sharks!!! Scuba time!!!! Seriously… I like SOME sharks… especially the Mako… SSSOOOOOOO fast!!!!!!!
- Spiderman or Superman? OOOOOOOO!!! Creepy, crawly spiders, man!!! I choose Spiderman! SPIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
- Quilt or down comforter? Quilt
- Yellow or orange? Come on… those are too bright for my wittle eyes! Still, I gotta answer… orange

My New Puppy! Well, At Least, a VIRTUAL Puppy...
Do you like her? I called her Coie because that is what I would like to name our next dog that we get! You're probably wondering how I got and wanted that name. Well, I got the name from Coie Igarashi (who has a blog on HomeSCHOOLBlogger too!) and about two weeks ago, I had this dream and we had a Golden Retriever puppy and Mom and Dad asked what I wanted to name her... and then the first thing that had come to my mind was Coie... in my dream, I bent over to pick her up and hug her, and my heart was filled with so much joy that I almost wanted to wake up the neighborhood saying all about this dream, but as I bent over, I woke up. 
I kept closing my eyes and whispering to myself saying, "Come on, come on... come back... that was my favorite dream... oh, well... :-("
I don't know exactly what 'Coie' means, but it sounds like a nice name and... I love it! Now you know... that's why I like that name... actually, before I had that dream, I thought that 'Coie' wasn't very nice at all! HOW 'BOUT THHAAATTTTT???????
By the way, the answer for my problem (I'm Back!) is : Mrs. Barthuly, you're correct! It's 502,314! Good job!!!!!

I'm Back!
Hi everyone! I haven't been able to write anything because I've been doing some other stuff around the house...
I've also been doing lots of school too! I've done LOTS of Math and am caught up. Here's one of the problems from today's Math lesson:

- Plan the month's menu (meal menu)

Finally! A (very small) Taste of Spring and Summer!!!

I Wish I Could Say It Weren't True...
Hi everybody. I thank you very much for your kind words and prayers, but Goldie’s sickness couldn’t be helped… in the middle of the night last night, she died. Dad even said to me last night…
Dad: “Amy, I have some bad news.”
Me: “What’s the problem?”
Dad: “Honey… I don’t think Goldie’s going to live through the night… I just went into the kitchen, she was hardly breathing… I thought she was already dead…”
Me: “Gee, I sure hope not…”
Dad: “I’m sorry Amy… we’ve tried everything we could, but we can’t stop her from dying if it’s her time.”
Me: “I really hope not…” (now comes the sad part)
Dad: “Me too… But honey, she’s on Death’s doorstep and she’s not coming back.”
He said, “I’m so sorry Amy… I wish we could live forever, but we can't…”
That’s what really touched my heart…
Thanks again for your kind words, deeds, and prayers about Goldie… Dad said he would take me to find another fish as pretty as her sometime… she was so beautiful... I'll post a picture of her soon... ;-)

My Fish, Goldie...
isn’t doing too well. She’s just been sitting on the bottom of the tank for about 3-4 days and I’m really starting to get worried. Dad and I tried feeding her some food, but she didn’t want it. A couple days ago, she started flipping on her side as well as sitting on the bottom. She’s 3-4 years old, so it might be old age... Dad just bought a new book called The Goldfish by Carlo DiVito.
It’s all about keeping your goldfish healthy, what diseases and types of breeds there are, etc. All I ask is that you pray for Goldie. She’s my only pet and I’d hate to lose her. (Sure, I have other fish, but they belong to the other kids) Thank you so very much!

Awesome Cucumber Salad
To make Cucumber Salad, you will need:
4 small or 2 large cucumbers
1 onion
1 1/2 c. sour cream
2 1/2 TBSP. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
pinch o' salt
1 1/2 TBSP. white vinegar
Cut cucumbers thick or thin
Slice onion and break into rings
Mix the remaining ingredients- pour over cucumbers and onions- mix well and Dig In!

Blueberry Muffin Recipe
To make blueberry muffins, you will need:
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking POWDER (not baking soda!)
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. frozen blueberries (or any other berrry)
2 eggs
1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. milk
cinnamon sugar
Preheat oven to 400
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and berries in a large mixing bowl- mix VERY well (or until you coat all the berries in flour)
In small bowl, beat eggs VERY well- then add the melted butter and milk
Add the eggs, butter, and milk in the dry ingredients- mix until nicely blended
Take a muffin tray and put muffin tins in each slot- add mixture in muffin tin- sprinkle cinnamon sugar over muffins
Put the muffins in the oven and wait 20 minutes or until brown

Finally! A Taste of Winter!!!
HOORAY!!! We're goin' to get SNOW, not RAIN!!!! Mom was watching The Weather Channel and (I was still asleep at the moment) I guess she found out. We're supposed to be getting 1 ft. of snow, maybe more... or so they say... because, almost every time they say "We're expecting 1-2 feet of snow up here", we usally end up getting rain instead!
I was cleaning up my room this morning when Mom came by the door...
Mom: "Can you believe it, Amy? We're going to get snow!"
Me: "Mom, trust me... don't believe them just yet."
Mom: "We're going to get snow!"
Me: "Don't believe them just yet." (this went on for about a 1/2 of a minute!)
Mom: "We're going to get snow!"
Me: "Don't believe them just yet."
Mom: "Ok, whatever you say."
Then she went upstairs. I'm hoping we do get the snow... if we do, it will be a gift... from God...

I Wonder.....
I've wanted to know.... how come every single time we lose something, we end running to Mom saying,"Mom, we've checked everywhere and we can't find it..." But Mom says,"Keep looking.."
Or we end up not going to Mom, but just look in all the places somebody else looked in, and say,"I wonder...." And then, someone says, "I've already checked in there." Wierd, huh?
That's just about as silly as saying,"Furniture Movers. We Move Furniture." hee hee hee hee hee..... LOL!!!

Happy Anniversary and Merry Christmas, Mom and Dad!
Guess what, everybody? Tomorrow is Mom and Dad's wedding anniversary! And the day after is Christmas Day!
That's so sweet.... wedding gifts on Christmas!
Last year, all Mommy wanted was Abigail Hope.
Awwwww......
I love Christmas, and not just because of the presents under the tree. (Not that I really care!) But whenever I get up to walk around a bit, I love to gaze at the beautiful lights on the tree as they reflect on the beautiful ornaments as I walk across the hallway.....
Another thing I like about Christmas.... In the afternoon, I love to look out my bedroom window and see a snowman, a snowfort, and a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground!
I hope that all of you have a Merry Christmas!..... And a Happy New Year!......
....And I hope that Mommy and Daddy have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Anniversary, and a Happy New year too!
