Anyone else tired just from looking at that? LOL

Ok, so am i the ONLY person on the planet that does not want to take down their Christmas decorations? Not because I dread the work of doing it, but because when they are gone I miss them! I never did post pictures of my decorations. Maybe I will do that later today.

I caught another mouse last night! That is 8 I think. I was asleep in bed and heard this noise that about scared me to death. The dog had almost knocked down the trash can trying to get to the mouse that had gotten stuck in the glue trap. So, I took the trap outside and put an end to the mouse (I feel mean, but it's either kill him quick or let him stick there and suffer until he dies). I think later today I will call the hardware store again and see if they have those sonic things in yet. LOL...of course, I will have to send Jimmy to get it, because according to B, "Mom, you can't go in the hardware store! You're a girl!" ROFLOL That was just TOO stinkin' funny!

Well, I will go for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Sunday musings

Posted in Life in the Little House on the Corner

I am tired this morning.  I still do not sleep well.  I sleep through my alarm...sometimes by the time I wake up, it's been going off for almost 5 minutes!  Then I don't even wake up...I'm only alert enough to apparently hit the snooze button.  I need to figure something out about that.

Today is church, and I'm happy about that.  I'm off work until Thursday, so I guess I can have a 'normal' few days.  There are a few places I need to go this week, some mail to manage, and then of course there is housework to do.  I guess today I will try to plan my week a little bit.  I promised B-boy some Monopoly this afternoon too.  My boy is gonna grow up to give Donald Trump a run for his money, I'm thinking.  LOL

Last night, for some reason, he started asking his Dad questions about the impending divorce.  I have no idea what brought it on.  He hadn't said a thing to me about it.  B usually doesn't say a whole lot about what's happened, so I tried to talk to him a little bit to see how he's feeling.  Typical kid, he said "I know it's all my fault, everything was fine until I was born.  Having kids is stressful, another mouth to feed and all that".  HUNH?!  Where he heard something like that, I do not know.  I'm hoping it's just something he heard on tv, and maybe then internalized it.  I told him that it has NOTHING to do with him.  Absolutely NOTHING.  I tried to reassure him and let him know that our family is not 'broken', but just different now.  Even though I myself don't believe a word of that b.s....yes, our family is broken.  But, I wanted to make him feel better...seeing him cry was like a knife in my heart.    I hate that things are like this.  For them, and for me.

I see all these people who separated for a time, or never separated but had bad marriages...their marriages worked out because they were willing to work at it a second time.  Why can't that happen to me?  I need to want the plan God has for me...but it's hard when #1. I do not know what it is, and #2. I have to let go of a part of my life that I do not want to let go of.  There are so many things that factor in to all this.

as is said at W@H:  *le sigh*

On a much happier note, Green Bay plays the Seattle Seachickenshawks next Saturday at 3:30.  I should be able to see most of the game, woohoo!!!!  GO, PACK, GO!!!!  It's a bonus that they will be at Lambeau, too.  I'm hoping they go all the way this year!!!

THE TOP TEN PREDICTIONS FOR 2008

Posted in Of the Spirit and the Word

Maria shared this over at W@H, and I had to steal it!!

THE TOP TEN PREDICTIONS FOR 2008

1. The Bible will still have all the answers.
2. Prayer will still work.
3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.
6. There will still be singing of praise to God.
7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.
8. There will still be room at the Cross.
9. Jesus will still love you.
10. Jesus will still save the lost.

God whispers in your soul and speaks to your mind. Sometimes when you don't have time to listen,
He has to throw a brick at you.

It's your choice: Listen to the whisper, or wait for the brick.

Day Three

Posted in Life in the Little House on the Corner

It's been a long, long busy day.  I got up a half hour late this morning, which wasn't a real good way to start the day.  Then the kids were pokey this morning too.  Tater and I got out to Jen's, where we spent the morning and early afternoon.  He played with the kids while I helped Jen with a few things.  She had an appointment this afternoon, so we came back home in time for J to pick Tater up after he got the other kids from school.  In the last two hours or so I have done three loads of laundry, cleaned in the hallway, cleaned the bathroom, and straightened my hall closet.  I also straightened both bathroom cabinets, AND my make-up box!

The hall closet has not been straightened for eons.  I wish I had remembered to take a 'before' picture...but then again I'm kind of glad I didn't, because I'd kinda rather not have anyone see how bad it looked!!  I did take mid-way-thru pics, and a pic of 'after'.  I'll post those soon.  I'll just put it this way:  I have not been able to get my vacuum OR my ironing board into the closet for a very, very long time...now I can get them both in there! *JOY*

Here soon I will eat some supper (an oh-so-healthy tv dinner), then take a bath.  I need to start working on my market list for next week, and I think I will do some fun reading before I do my Bible reading before I go to bed.  Hope everyone is having a GREAT night!!

off to good start

hmmm....I have zippo to say this morning! LOL

The bedtime routine went well last night, except that the dog decided he had to pee right as I started saying prayers with the baby. grrrrr....

I slept badly. Not sure if it was the frappucino I drank, no new nicotine in my system, or the fact that I was on the wrong side of the bed because Tater decided he wanted to lay on MY side of the bed! I got maybe about 3 hours sleep, lol.

It is bitterly cold out, and windy. No snow tho. I hate cold. It is going to be freezing in the DQ drive-thru!
