Sunday, May 4, 2008 ... thinking about cell phones ...
My dad just bought a new cell phone and so my husband "inherited" my dad's Razor. This now leaves a phone for my daughter (my husband's "old" phone) - all we need to do is buy a sim card, add her to our account and she's good to go. However, she does not get a cell phone until she is 16 and driving. The kids at the high school can't have them on while in school anyway, so we don't see the point of her having one just yet. I wonder if there is good cell phone reception inside the huge concrete building anyway. I guess it would be the same thing as being inside a mall. Of course, I guess the kids could always get a cell phone signal booster kit, right? I've been thinking about us getting some of those "pay as you go" phones because we don't use our cell phones that much anyway, but I like the security of being a part of a big company, I guess. Boy, it's a good thing that I try to live frugally because having a teenager equals spending more money - LOL!
I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, mom to two wonderful kids, a Christian and I work from home part-time for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. Please join me here "at home with Kris."

I have been diagnosed with insulin resistance and PCOS. This makes it difficult to lose weight, but I am
trying my best to get healthy again. I am back to walking and weight training, beginning in September. I hope
to add in some yoga soon as well - I've never tried it, but have always wanted to! I am currently
seeing a chiropractor and massage therapist regularly to try and get my back realigned properly again, too.
My current eating plan is focused on eating gluten-free foods "from the original garden." I believe that I have food
sensitivities and am trying to figure out which items set off the symptoms (rash, upset stomach, etc.).
