No Daily Schedule
I don't have one! I'm not sure if that is good or bad. I have a routine...but it's not a written out schedule like I see a lot of ladies have posted on their blogs. I keep trying to put together a schedule...but I spend all my time putting it together and very little time on actually using it. Anyone else have that problem?
So instead I have a list of chores for each day, a list of things to do for homeschool and I go from there.
I usually start the day by pulling the covers back on the bed to let it air out. A lot of mornings I'll be making coffee and lunch for hubby as he's getting ready for work. Once he's gone then I bring a load of laundry to the washer and get that started. By then Boo is up. We have breakfast, get dressed and get the beds made. Boo has a bit of free time while I check email then we get him started on school work. Here I'll tidy the kitchen/living room, load the dishwasher, swish toilets and tidy the bathrooms. That stuff really doesn't take too long.
Then I go to my list and see what tasks I have for the day and I knock those off one by one. During this will be lunch and cleaning up after lunch, drying and folding the laundry and getting it put away and homeschooling. Then there is dinner and spending time together as a family. Once Boo is in bed (usually about 8:30) I'll tidy the house up one last time and spend time with hubby before bed.
That is the basic routine. Today is Friday and is my day to clean the laundry room up. I'll be gathering up unused hangers, wiping walls and cleaning the washer/dryer, organizing cleaning supplies, going through the unmatched sock basket, mending clothes, vacumming. Friday is also the day I clean out my purse. My list is broken down so that each room(s) is cleaned on a different day:
Monday: Kitchen
Tuesday: Living Room/Dining Room
Wednesday: Bedrooms/Office
Thursday: Bathrooms
Friday: Laundry Room/Patio
Saturdays I'll do the daily basics but pretty much leave the day open to spend the day doing things with Hubby. Sundays we use for the Lord as a day for church, family and rest.
