Mid Week Updates

Good Day, Y'all!

We are getting thoroughly entrenched in fall and school preparations here! Gathering supplies, shopping for some clothes, thank God they have a lot that still fit so that list was small.  This is also the time I tend to work on my family life goals. Goals for my work... as I am the family bookkeeper and with all the papers that come thru, I need to be very organized.

And my precious oldest has started College today and I'm so proud of her! She has been to her first class and she has another tonight. She looked so pretty and she took my breathe away. How amazing is our God that He has had His strong hand on her life. She is an amazing woman of God and I'm rejoicing at God's grace.

I would ask for prayers for Bill. He has hurt his ribs.. he doesn't think he broke them but he's in significant pain. We are streamling as well as the shops and this change is good and needed but stressful as most change is. Thank you for yoru considerate prayers!

The baby chicks are getting bigger and adventurous. Too cute for words! My garden is still going strong. It's such a joy.

The boys are thoroughly enjoying football. I am already tired just watching them!  My parents are coming to stay and visit for a few days. I'm excited.

just checking. God bless all who would read!

I Think this is a Great Idea

Got it from Kitty, here on homesteadblogger

I think this is a tremendous idea!!!

One minute each night

This is the scariest election we as Christians have ever faced and from the looks of the polls, the Christians aren't voting Christian values.  We all need to be on our knees.  Do you believe we can take God at His word?

Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders to behold. This Scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the ability to call upon God to heal it. I challenge you to do so. We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land.

If my people, which are called by My name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace.
This had an amazing effect as the bombing stopped.
Believing that the United States and our citizens need prayer more than ever, there is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America.   If you would like to participate, each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, and the upcoming election.  Pray that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land and that Christianity will grow in the USA.

Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless.  Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Thank You.

Please pass this on to anyone who you think will want to join us.

God Bless You !!!
GOD BLESS  AMERICA ! ! !

Good Morning!

Ever wonder if God is talking to you? I do. And I must have a thick skull. He is very patient. He is gracious and long suffering with me. He's keeps telling me to Be still and know that He is God.

He is more then able. He is more then enough.

There is nothing He cannot handle. I just need to be still, know that He is God. He is not just a good guy. He is not just a jewish carpentar who was so good. He is not just a prophet though He was all those things. He is God. Fully and completley God. And I need to be still and trust.

He is the alpha and the omega

He is the God of creation and the God of all wonders. He is the Word made flesh. He is the first born of all creation and He is my God. He is high and lifted up and sits at the right hand of the Father. He has bought me for a price and finds me worthy of His grace. I am not worthy in myself. I am found worthy only because of Him.

We are having a roast with potatoes and carrots tonight for dinner.

And I have a major praise! We have a frigerator that came with our home when we moved in three years ago. It was brand new. Well, we've been having a lot of issues with it lately and had two repairmen tell is it is dying. Well, now is not a time to replace. Just can't. We found another repairman who actually came and looked at it, the other two diagnosed it over the phone @@ well, he is fixing it!!! yea!! Praise God!!!! yea yea!!!

So I am off to start my day knowing He is God and I will be still :)

Mid July and I can't Believe it!

Good afternoon, sisters! I can't believe it's Mid July already! I just picked up my Trevor from his youth camp and I'm glad to have him home!  The rest of the house is quiet as Gram took the others swimming at our local swimming hole :)

We are heading out in the morning to go to our friends home for a weekend visit and skiing ;) Thank God for little blessings!

We are still going thru our prairie primer and enjoying it. We are going to make some butter when they get back from swimming. Will serve over our home grown corn tonight for dinner ;)

On A Country Homemaker we are about to have an apron swap. Is anyone interested in joining us? Feel free to sign up at

Good Monday Y'all!

Good Day, Ya'all!

We have been so blessed! Our garden is going well. We had our first crop of corn and cabbage this weekend and it was so good!

Have you noticed the signs of the times? I truly believe we are close to see Jesus returning in the clouds. But in the meantime, it's time to prepare one's heart and home..

Do you know that you are in right standing with Christ?  Have you repented and turned from your sin? Have you asked Jesus to live as your Lord and Savior in your heart? Now's the time :) To have life and life abundant and life to the full:) There is no greater life.. no greater joy :)

As to our homes..am I honoring God with my life and possessions?

 are you stocking up?

Are you preparing for the coming season?

Are you being a good steward of what God has given you? These are questions I ask myself each day. As I plan for the future, I need to keep my priorities straight. And with the gas prices heading out of control, here are some ideas to help keep in budget

  • time checks... don't go driving without a purpose. Group together errands so you travel less.
  • car pool with others when possible
  • keep up regular maintainance. This truly does save money on gas.
  • keep air in your tires and oil checked reguarly
  • fix your own car when possible
  • do more entertaining at home. This also leads to closer family relations :)
  • in all things GIVE GOD PRAISE for HIS PROVISION!

God Bless!

Good Sunday! A Family Update

We are so blessed! We live in a countyr where we are able to worship freely. This is not something to take for granted as there are those who would revoke this from us. We need to be diligent in our lives. We have to do all to stand, and then stand.

We have had such a wonderful summer so far. The kids did well at the fair with their rabbits and 4H and we even came home with another rabbit, this time a netherland dwarf for Tara :-)

A Simple Recipe

Zucchini.. enough to feed your family

spaghetti sauce

garlic

tomatoes, chopped

onion, chopped

saute the veggies in olive oil. Add sauce and serve over rice.

We are getting ready for church. Bill is leading worship this morning and our Interim Pastor is going thru the book of John. We are on chapter 6 this morning. It has been a wonderful series!

well, I'm off. God bless all who would read :)

Monday Blessings

Good Monday  y'all :-)

We are doing well. We had a wonderful holiday weekend. Celebrated with family and friends. And it was quite nice to just have a relaxing day remember how blessed we are to live in the USA. And praise God for the freedom to be able to worship as we feel led.

For dinner tonight we are having zuchini chicken stir fry over rice.

and it's from our garden! yea! I am having such fun! Summer has been unseasonably cool here until today. Hopefully it will help the garden really grow :-)

I am so pleased to be able to watch my chickens grow..what a kick they are! They will walk in my office door as to say good morning :)

We are finally finished with 4 H for the year. I am already missing it. Fair time was last week and we had a blast! The kids learned alot and placed with their rabbits and got 4 H fever. Will be looking into more rabbit shows soon!

well, signing off for today :)

Wednesday... already?

Good Wednesday morning! How is everyone? I'm doing well. Going thru and re organizing my world :) Cleaned up and going thru my inbox and shedding the stuff I have collected and need to be rid of. I do this often as in my office, It is where everything is seems to be dumped. It is our home office and our business office so I'm the master of all papers LOL

We are getting ready for Fourth of July here. For the first time, we are going to have a quiet day. Just us and our family. Bill has been working so hard that it will be nice to have him home. We found some adorable border for the blonde haired boy's room. It is done in a cowboy theme and we found an adorable John Deere Tractor border. That will go up tomorrow as well as my cowgirl's new bed :) Just a time working on home and garden with my family. Celebrating our indepdence... both our nation's birthday and our own personal family's independence and growing self reliance.

Just a verse to think on as I declutter and find freedom of baggage and waste....

2 Chronicles 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themsleves nad pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

God bless all who would read!

Thursday Already?

Good Morning, Dear Ones~!

We are doing well. We have first of our three open houses tonight. This is coming up to a really busy time for us. with Taylor graduating and baseball coming to tourni time, 4 h and fair and rodeo coming, it's well.. busy. I will not get grumpy :) I will chose to go with the flow.. God help me! LOL

I so can't wait for summer! My garden is going well. I want to plant more. Will try to do so this weekend :0

I have been thinking a lot about the passage, Proverbs 31 .. how I strive to become that but it always seems so beyond my reach. But God is showing me, one step at a time. That I am still accepted in the Beloved even if I don't meet every standard. That it is a goal to strive for, a lesson to learn and a goal to strive for but not beat myself up for .. for there is no condemnation in the Lord... and that just brings peace and a bigger desire to continue to strive to do so, out of gratitude :-)

today's goals...

Great refreshed with His Word

I'm working on some fabric gifts.. making some adorable dishtowels with scripture references on them. and table runners.

Will finish bookkeeping for my dh and cut up the fresh bread I made :)

pay some bills

hang up some pictures

that's my goals

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

I recieved this in an email and I thought it was awesome..

A mother is not a person to lean on, but a person to make leaning unnecessary.

Dorothy Canfield Fisher

Isn't that the truth? If I am doing my God given job, my babies won't grow up and lean on me but be independant, God honoring, other loving people.

In this day and age of 'community parenting' it is refreashing to know God's Word  has not changed. That what was true yesterday is true today and will be true tomorrow and forever. I can settle my mind on what's right for my home. Rest assured, no matter what comes about, Ladies, God has given us all we need to raise Godly children. You are important to God's purpose in your child's life. He called you to this mininstry called motherhood. Do not be dismayed. You are chosen for such a time as this!

May you be blessed this Mother's day!

A Verse for Today

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the table of your heart.  Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

An Invitation!

Good Morning, Beloved ones!

I would love to extend an invitation to anyone who would love to join us in a bible study of Daniel and then onto Revelation. We are going thru a study from Kay Arthur, www.precept.org.  We would LOVE to have you join us! We are just starting so come to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Kindred_Hearts_at_Home

My parents are here and we are thoroughly enjoying the visit. Gals, treasure your time with your parents. They are truly God's gift to us!  Our garden is taking off :) YEA! Now, I'm on a hunt to keep them. I'm learning of food preservation and truly believe this is a time to stock up. If for just being a good steward of what God has given me, I will learn to be more frugal :)

Does anyone have a good white bread recipe they can share? I am not all that talented at making bread

A nugget of truth :)

In the beginning was hte Word and hte Word was with God, and hte Word was God.

John 1:1
