There is a contest for an apron on this site: http://my-strength-and-song.blogspot.com/2009/01/apron-giveaway.html Sincerely, ~Mary-Ann~ From My EaselI was requested to add more of my drawings and paintngs to my blog, so that is what this post will be about. I thought I would start with newer ones and also add some old ones. I drew this woman a few months ago, I based it on a character I had read about in a book by Jane Austen. (Not one of my favorites) This is a painting I did of our barn, of course it was before the rain started. I haven't had much painting weather lately. This is on of my more....cartoonie drawings I geuss. She is more like a book illustration rather than a drawing of a realistic person. This is a drawing i drew back in 2006 of my sister and friend's pigs. Reri and Black Pearl. This is a lion I also drew back in 2006 (if you couldn't tell by the drawing paper

I have been urged by my friends, the Lunds, to post pictures. Mary and Annie have told me today the thing which my blog lacks is cheerful colour and pictures. As you can see I have changed the background to be more colourful (I have to change the picture up top still) and now I am on to posting pictures. So here it goes, random pictures of the year 2008: I decided to start with step by step pictures of my front garden The ground was so tough, I had to wet it down and let it soak in before I continued. Here it is with the dirt all cleared and the bricks have been laid. Here it is planted. Isn't it lovely? Here are the small details to my garden: The little fisherman that sits on a pot full of Creeping English Thyme. A garden fairie, commonly found in English Cottage Gardens. It was considered a sign of luck. In my Garden, I have smaller gardens that I have others plant. Here is my friend Maddie's garden. I painted the little sign. I had broken this bird bath, so rather than throwing it away, I decided to turn it into a planter. End. Now, for some pictures of the farm: Sarahs goat, Twinkie, peeking out of the indoor stall. Twinkie's baby, Baby Ruth, Hiding inside the barn from the snow. "I'm invisible! Can you see me?" A buck goat and a....chicken. two chickens. and a duck? "I don't believe I like this white stuff." Tipper. Do you like the snow on her nose? The puppies had never seen snow, so they went crazy! Well, these are all the pictures I have time for right now. In the words of John Lennon, "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans." Sincerely, ~Mary-Ann~

Christmas is finally at its end. We have spent this past weekend cleaning up and packing away the christmas things we had collected over the years, packing them away in storage until their return next Thanksgiving. By then we will be ready for them again. Doing the clean up from Christmas is one of the most despised events to look forward to in the New Year. Though I am tired of looking at the decorations that invaded the living room for the last month, I mourn the thought that I am going to have to pack this all up. It takes so much more time to pack than upack. We have had a relatively good New Year. Unforntunately Keri and the boys couldn't make it up and have put off their trip until the end of Feb. beginning of March. The good part about this is, she will be here for our birthday (I was born on her eleventh birthday). We haven't celebrated our birhtday together in many years, so this will be a nice change. Time for me to depart. In the words of Thomas Tusser, "At Christmas play and make good cheer, for Christmas comes but once a year." Sincerely, Mary-Ann The RabbitryI said I would post pictures of the rabbits but I never got around to it. So...I decided that is what I will do with my time right now This is my Buck English Lop, Saketini. He is a big broken blue, weighing about 13 pounds.
This is Clover, she is Mom's Doe English Lop. She is only two months, almost three. (Ignore my sister's guinea pig in the background
I hope you enjoyed. Mary-Ann { Last Page } { Page 1 of 16 } { Next Page } |
