Shayna and Jeffie

Dora and her family from church came by last night for me to worm and give their dogs a set of shots.   It is so funny how people see things .   Dora was watching Jeffie how he was with Michelle (she stopped by for a bit) and she also watched how Jeffie is with Shayna. 

Dora told me with tears in her eyes " Shayna is his mom"  I gave a sad smile and said I know.   She remembers them from church events and other home schooling events.  Dora knows Shayna is his aunt (tea as he calls her) and that Shayna has raised him for a lot of his life.

We are blessed that Shayna at 15 years old took on the roll.  They have such a strong bond.  He cries every time he has to go.

Here are some of Shayna's senior pictures taken last year at this time.  Shayna was 17 and Jeffie was 2.5.  We bought the hole cd so we have the funny ones too:

Gods Blessings and gifts

I am reading a book called " The Wind Is My Mother " By Bear Heart.

This book is a native American teaching and I just love it.   Bear Heart talks about God a lot.   But this saying about God caught my eye and thoughts going.

Bear is talking to a man and the man said I've been called to preach.  

Wonderful who called you bear asks??

God the man says.

Bear: , why that's even more wonderful if he called you.  So when are you going to start preaching?

Man: That's what I wanted to see you about.  I need some seminary training , at least 2 years.  But my daughter's graduating this year and next year my son graduates.  Meanwhile I'm working at a service station barely making ends meet.

Bear: Wait , wait, before you go any further , I know exactly what you can do.

Man :  What?

Bear:  Go back and tell God the one who called you all about these problems. Maybe he didn't know when He called you , so you tell him.

If we are genuinely called by God , there will be a way provided.

How many of these gifts, blessings did God send our way and we did not see or take it.  Did we put them on a back burner  for later.  Or did we take that leap of faith because we KNEW God called us to do it?

This page in this book got me thinking really deep, I could not sleep for hours.    They are many more teaching about God like this in this book.

Kristi, what a good girl

Kristi is such a good girl.  She stands by what see believes in.

Kristi is very involved in her animals  and loves to serve in our church.  She will get upset if she misses serving at church.  Kristi is on our worship ministry team, she is a lead singer.  But Kristi will  miss serving for the Ducks hockey game, but just a time or two.

While I was at the Dr.'s Monday she meet a boy who is into the Manga and anime that she and her sister are into.  They talked for a bit about the next convention coming up and what they want to do.  I told her she can give him our number so they can all meet (other anime friends) with each other to plan for the convention and what they can dress for as a group.   His name is Nathan.

Well Nathan just called awhile ago, they talked anime and he asked her out on a date.  Kristi is 16 years old.  She told him thank you but she is not ready to date.  She said she rather spend her time with her animals and serving God .   But we can be friends and talk and meet at the convention.  Nathan said ok, he is the same way.

I am so proud of her she stood up for what she believes in.  Shayna is the same way, no boys yet.  They are fun in a group but neither girl is ready for a boyfriend.  

I think it helps because they see how Michelle is going from man to man , like it is nothing.   It makes them see things different.  We also have taught the girls courtship and not dating.  It has worked for Shayna and Kristi.

My moms Birthday and Fall, 104.

Today is my moms 63rd birthday.  She says she feels old this year like she did when she turned 40.   I tell her age is just a number, we are who we are, numbers are that just a number.

But I understand.  My best friend Janet and I have been friend for 24 years.  That makes us feel old!!.  I know age is just a number.

Mom gift we got her??? Of course her favorite, Ducks hockey tickets 7 seats off the ice, next to the teams box she can can high five them !!

Dad is her date. The game is tomorrow night.  Happy Birthday mom.!!

Ok, I am lost.  It is fall right???   We seem to have lost fall.  Or someone stole it.  We are still in summer mode.   Today it was 104. Yup 104.  Where is fall??  Does fall realize that it will be October in the morning??  The girls keep telling me it will be October when will it cool down???

Hubby and I were going to take down our pool for the fall and winter, but what fall??  We have a above ground salt water pool that I just love.   He comes home some night to find me floating in it.

Well that is all, if some finds California's fall floating around please show it how to get to us.

Tomorrow, this week and a maid

Here is my week.  I am writing this to KEEEP ME on track.  Do you here that me?? .................... Yes,  I do !!

1. Get up and STAY up with hubby!!  No going back to bed!!

2.  See foot Dr. and SET up surgery!!

3. Set up and keep other 3 DR.'s Appt.

4. Redo girls bathroom.

5. Redo dads bathroom, keep girls out!!  and call tile guy out to fix his boo boo.

6. Have Kristi clean her boxes out of the upstairs hallway, Hear that Kristi Bean???  No more boxes in the HALL.

7. Move china cabinet into kitchen.

8. Bring in and set up e.t. center in family room.

That is all for now , plus my normal weekly stuff.

But on a GOOD note hubby tells us girls when we get caught up on the house we get a maid!!!   .

We are so happy!!  He sees all that I do and did before I broke my leg (it is still broken 9 months later).  My being down for so long and his seeing what is not being done because of it. He never knew all I / we did. 

Now when hubby looks at some lists like a fall cleaning list I wrote out he reads it and says but you do / did most of this every week!  Yes I / we did and do.   Add what we did / do at the ranch each day, just was amazing to him. 

But with Shayna going to work it will be just me and kristi a lot of the time.  We two will not be able to do it all.   So hubby is going to let us hire a maid to come in and clean the heavy stuff twice a week.  What a blessing.  I could use her know though.  We girls are going to have our hand full trying to do it all and play catch up.  But what a pay off!!

My daughters wedding picture

I can not believe it our oldest daughter Dejah is married!  She is 22 years old and lucky to have found the man of her dreams.  Thank you Joseph for making her so happy.

I gave them 2 years to have a new grand-blessing started cooking for me.  Dejah loves that idea Joesph just blushes!   Wont they make cute grand-babies??

Dejah may not be a child of our womb but is of our heart .  God blesses us with her 7 years ago.

Pictures of Kristi's and Gracie's 1st place costume

In June Kristi showed her service dog Gracie at the Chino Jr Fair.  One of the classes was a costume class.  Shayna made this skirt for Kristi.

Then Shayna made Gracie a matching  skirt and a vest, along with the cute little hat.

Kristi is doing a great job training Gracie as a service dog.   When Kristi has a moment of walking into a closed door so does Gracie !! That's my girl.

Shayna's Horse Show and the Free Stormy horse

Shayna had her and Stormy's first horse show yesterday.  They did really good.  They placed in 3rd all day.  Stormy has been learning how to do shows after his being a trail horse for 14 years.  It was all new to him.  Shayna did a great job on teaching him how to slow down and all that fun stuff.   They did not do the trail class though.  Shayna felt he was not ready for that.  I am proud of her ending the day on a good not with Stormy. 

Stormy's old owner Pam came to watch them do this show.  Pam said it was bitter sweet.  She misses him (stormy) but is happy to see that he is well love and that his new mommy spends everyday with him.   Pam was selling Stormy for 7 years.  A few days after Shayna's horse Bucks died from last years California's wild fires, he had asthma Shayna started looking at horse to find a price range that was fair.   While looking at one site she saw Stormy.  She came in to me and said mom he is the one.  So we e-mailed Pam , she called us back (at the time she wanted $1200.00 for him) , we set up a time to go see him.

We went to see him, brought our animal photo book. Pam watched how Shayna and Stormy did withe each other.  We asked if she had other people coming to see him , Pam said yes.  I asked her to call us after she has made the choice on who his mew person would be.

Pam started crying and said Shayna is it, she is the one she has been looking for the the last 7 years!   She said she wanted Shayna to be his new mommy.   We all started crying, even hubby got teary eyed.

We ended up buying Stormy for $1.00 .  Why a whole $1.00??  For a bill of sale.  God Blessed us all.  We got a new horse, new family members Pam, Keith, their kids and grand-kids.

I am so proud of Shayna.  Yesterday at the end of the show she gave Pam Stormy's 1st horse show ribbon that he ever earned.   That made me tear up real good.  Shayna blessed Pam , Pam blessed Shayna.  I am blessed to be Shayna's mom.

prayer needed,scared,hospital,190,mad,worried,sad & up date

Yesterday started out so fun with the grand-babies, we had a blast.  Michelle let them stay later because Shannon (my hubby) had an employee (his driller) get something in his eye.  Hubby is an operations mangers for an environmental drilling company.  Thank you Michelle. Hubby and I had fun playing out side with the babies.  But later.

Scared:  After dinner I started to get an upset stomach and it felt like an allergic reaction one.  I waited a few minutes to see if it was or not, then took some of my medicine to see if that would stop it, NO.   After a few minutes it got worse so I called 911 and gave my self a shot.  By the time help got here I was red and trowing up.  The give me an i.v. and get started taking me in.  Hubby was talking to them.   The girls left to take the babies back to Michelle.  So off I go , scared because I/they never know if it is going to be a mild hospital visit or an i.c.u hospital visit.   I was crying because I was upset at having another and I wanted my husband!! 

Hospital: As soon as the ambulance gets me in the parking lot it hit worse.  The hospital advised the ambulance to not give me more medicine I had enough, ugh wrong.  The run me in and I get a bunch of shots because what I did not take was enough.  The hospital brought up my records and said she has a BIG record here she needs this.  Thank God I asked for my usual hospital because of that reason.    I let early because I got better and was back to normal, ok normal, for me after a reaction!  They wanted to admit me for 3 hours!  Hello no.  So I did an AMA.  I know my body and if I was not feeling normal and did not wait to see if it would come back again after the medicine wore off.

190: This hospital visit was my 190th one!!  I have had more reactions than that a ton more.  That number is just my hospital visits in 16 years.

Mad:  because it happened again!  It has been almost a year.  And they wanted me to be admitted for 3 hours.  The hospital can NOT feed me at all and it is verry hard for them because I am sooo allergic to all of the cleaners they use.  I scare most of the dr.'s and nurses.  When I broke my leg my dr. kept telling me how scared he was to operate on me. He told me I scared him **** less. He told me so many times how much I scare him because of my allergies.  What a good feeling know you have to go under when you are suppose to and having the dr. tell you he does not want to operate because he is so scared.  Thank God for the anasteseologist he made me feel good about it and told me not to worry.

Worried:  because I do not like these , I hate them, I am scared I will have more.  I am always afraid I am going to die and leave my family.  I know I have no control of when God calls me home, but I still worry about leaving my hubby and babies.  Shayna's 1st horse show is in the morning I want to go , but am a little bit worried about it after last night.

Sad:  I missed our adopted daughter wedding .  That hurt me so bad.  We sent the girls to watch their sister get married , they sent me pictures while it was going on.

We never know what sets me off like that.  It could be a build up of my allergies and then I am exposed to a thing I am allergic to and off we go.  Or being exposed to one of my HIGH allergies and off we go.  My dr. who treated me for 10 years believes it is the 1st one.

I would like to ask for prayer.  For strength  to go one with out fear, for me to recover , for me not to worry like I do and play it over and over in my mind.  And for my family as they take over again as I recover.

P.S. Update:  Michelle texted Kristi my youngest daughter. Michelle asked if I was doing better ?.  Kristi said yes.  Michelle wrote back ****! . How rude .  Is it ok to love your child but to not like them from time to time?????  Because I love Michelle , but sometimes I just do not like her.   She is not the woman we brought up!!!

Fun, Fun , Fun

We have had a great day with the babies today.  Michelle let the babies spend the day here with us .   They made brownies for Bubba and had so much fun doing it and tasting the batter. I will post pictures latter.

We took them to thrift store.  Jeffie found a toy airplane and Maddie a soccer ball.  We found a cute nurses top for Marty (the dog) to wear on Halloween.  We go spend the night at our church and Marty always dresses up. We will take pictures of him dressed up.  The girls are making Marty a girl again this year.  He has been Snow White, a fairy I do not remember what else girl wise they have made him.  Last year he was a dragon.   The poor Dog, sad to say he loves it!

Our daughter is getting married in the morning

I can not wait for Morning, our daughter Dejah is getting married!!!

We adopted Dejah almost 7 years ago, where has the time gone??

Dejah came into the family when Scooter came into our family, she was his girlfriend.  Scooter came over as a 4 H friend and never left !  Dejah has lived here while going to college.  Even though she and Scooter have broken up a long time ago, we kept her. 

To us Dejah is a real daughter even though she was not born to us. 

We have told her soon to be hubby that we want a grandchild or them to be expecting one within two years !  Joseph just smiled, but Dejah said ok, she wants a baby soon too!

How Rude and a cute picture

Most of you know the trouble we have with our oldest daughter Michelle.  Well this tops it.  She got up set with us a few days ago because we wanted to take the grand-babies to the fair to have an old time picture done.  She would not let us see them because we do not respect her as a mother. 

Well Shannon talked to Michelle and told her why we did not tell her about the picture we wanted to have done is because we wanted a nice picture to give her for Christmas.  Michelle said why did we not tell her?  Hello it was for Christmas.

So any way we just got a text that she went and had the picture done we were going to do for her,  @$#%$%$%&^ .  Michelle is such a vindictive little girl, not a woman.   How rude of her do that when she knew we were going to. 

Michelle gets in these moods and likes to hurt people, we do not know why but she does.

We are going to do something else with the babies when we see them in the morning.  Maybe take the babies to Disneyland or the movies???

The problem with Michelle cont............

We found out that Michelle is upset because we did not tell her that when we wanted to take the babies to the fair we wanted to have a special picture taken to give her for Christmas.

Hello,  it was for Christmas!!

But now we get the babies on Friday to take them to the fair and have the picture taken.  But she will not talk to us still. 

All because we wanted to something special for her.

Prayer needed please pray for us

My family and I need prayer.  Michelle is keeping the grand-babies away from us all.  She says it is because we do not respect here as a mother.  Well that is true, but she does not need to keep the babies away.  It all came a head last week when Shannon's mom come over to visit us.  We invited Michelle and Gill and the babies over to have dinner with us all.  They got there 1/2 late.   After dinner Michelle asked me if we would watch the babies while she goes to get a blood test done at 8am.  I said no we can't at that time.  That she needs to take the babies with her and have them in a stroller.  She says what stroller I said the one we bought her.  She said she loaned it to her friend and it got stolen, so buy me another one!  I told her to get a job!  She has not worked a day in the past 6 months and wants everyone else to support her. 

After all we have done for her she pulls this stuff!!  We feed her , the babies and her boyfriend.  We pay for her gas and help her out.  We are done helping Michelle.  She needs to stop playing these little games.  We will care for the babies and help support them .  But Michelle she needs to grow up and become a mom to her babies.  Not go from guy to guy trying to get pregnant and looking for the easy road by having each new guy care for her and the babies.  Gill is the 3rd daddy they had this year!

We do not respect Michelle as a mom.  Her sister have raised the babies as much as she has.  They cry when she takes them away from here.  Jeffie has a mother and son bond with Shayna not Michelle.  Maddy calls Kristi mommy.  When Michelle brings the babies over Maddy run to Kristi and says "Mommy I am home".  When Michelle and the babies are here Maddy calls Kristi mommy not Michelle.

We cloth and feed the babies.  We take care of them a lot of the time.  They have lived here over 1/2 of their lives.  How could we respect her as a mom.

A mom does everything for her children.  Not have everyone else do it.  Yes, mom's need help and family is a wonderful help. But the problem is Michelle does not help herself or help the babies.  It would be different if she did something for the babies.  How could you go for 6 months with out buy food for your children ?  Or with out giving them a home?  She will live place to place , with person to person.  At least until she got pregnant again, now she lives with Gill and his parents.  How can a grown woman with 2 babies and 1 on the way have him and his family pay for everything and not do anything to help them help her.

We would feel different if she was doing something.

I / we are hurt over her keeping the babies away from us.

She will want or need something and then she will be oh so sweet, but sorry we are going to play your game.

What names do you call your pet's ?   Do you give them nick names to go with the names you gave them? We name all our critters.  My mom wonders why when we re-name with nick names.

Dogs

1. is Marty a golden his nick names are: Boo, Boo butt, Martin Man.

2. is Freckles a queensland heeler her nick names are : Weasel, old dog, Weasel bu gezzle.

3. is Hope another golden hers are : Hope of the world, Hope a dope.

4. is Arther the wolf his are: Wolf boy, wolfie, da wolf.

5. is Faith half wolf hers are Squankie, Squankache.

6. is Gracie another golden her are: Gracie lou, Lou Lou.

7. is Alex another golden his are : Godzilla, Aldo.

Cats

1. is Tortellini (we had another cat named pizza when we got her) we call her mama.

2. is Tigger his are: bigabe, and when he tosses dishes pecker wad.

3. is Mini Meow his are : Moose man, Moose.

4. is Blue his are : Blue Blue, Boo Boo, Ornery boy.

5. Was Mittens he passed in February we called him Fat Cat.

My pony is named Soda pop, we call him Pops, some times p-o-s.

Horse Cody is the Codster.

The Mixer

Shayna went over to my moms house, her grandma to get a mixer. Mom warned her to be soft with it , it is older than your mom.  Thanks mom make me feel old! 

Mom received the mixer when she married my father 40-41 years ago (they divorced when I was a baby).    That got me thinking:

Over the past mannnny years (haha mom) that mixer has seen my mom go from a new bride learning how to cook, to seeing me born and making my baby food, to seeing mom become a great cook, to having my daughter using it to cook.

The stories that mixer could tell, how many dinners were burned, how many were cried over, how many were loved to death, recipes that were passed down from other family members.  If only it could talk.

Dinner at my sisters

This afternoon we went to my sister Tracy's house to see it and have dinner.  Tracy and her husband Andy bought this house a coupleweeks ago, but have just finished painting and fixing it up.   The house is cute and big, I love it.  I love the color she painted it.  This is her 1st time owning a house.  There was only one problem . "How many men does it take to hang one picture"?

We girls were laughing so hard. We kept telling each other if we did it we would be done by now   !!

Dinner was great.  It was Tracy and Andy , our parents, our aunt and 2 cousins and Michelle, Gill and the babies and of course us 4.   We thought that the babies would come with us because when they see us they always want to come back "home".   The grand-babies cam home with us .

We had a blast and can't wait to go again.
