Connie • Permanent Link 2007-Sep-29 - Untitled Comment Posted by morningsunshine it took us a while to adjust our bodies to smaller portions. we did it slowly, eating one portion of everything on the table, then waiting 15 minutes to see if we were still hungry. it takes that long for your stomach to register. then another portion of one thing. and wait. but now we do not eat as much (much to the horror of the waiters when we go out to eat and order two entrees for the five of us!) and it saves money on grocery bills too, and BONUS - you loose weight! • Permanent Link 2007-Oct-1 - Serving Sizes Posted by birdlady I have become VERY aware of serving sizes recently. I joined Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago. I was amazed at this statistic: In the 1950's, the average drink serving was 7 ounces - today it ranges from 30-64 ounces! The average hamburger patty has gone from 1.6 ounces on average to up to 8 ounces! Wow! No wonder we live in an obese society.
