A Beautiful day the lord hath made!!

The weather here in Florida can be so unstable so I am praying for a good weekend. My hubs and I are going to Jacksonville to meet two of his children. We are so excited to see them.Kyle is the oldest  and very sweet.Kaley just graduated high school with honors and is just beautiful!! They are meeting up with their step brother Brandon and his girl friend too! So it should be a nice family get together...

I am trying to get everyone together for a July 4th celebration in St Augustine.I am not sure if our Son (KENNY) will be able to come down or not...They are very thirifty and won't spend extra money unless they have too!! They are saving for their first home so I can't say anything about them being thrifty..

The garden is doing ok...The corn was a treat for some squirrels or raccoons..What do you all do to keep them out of your garden?

Well, time is moving fast and I still have a few things to do here!!

Have a blessed weekend!!

Slow start to a beautiful day

I have been a little lax about getting the day started.I need energy:) I thought I would have to go to town today but I don't and that is good.I am just trying to get motivated to get things done here. We had the window guy here today giving an estimate on two new windows on my scrapbook house. We are putting a window unit in for a/c and the windows needed to be replaced.

I am really excited to have my own little space.I am not a real scrapbooking person I say real I mean addicted to it.I just got caught up on buying the cute little things mostly. Then I needed a place to store them..(LOL) But... I will get more done for sure now that I have an area to work and not just a little corner of a room.

We just got done painting and buy a new bedroom suite for our guest room. So, now when we have company they will be comfortable.Hubby said "Now don't make it so comfortable that they don't leave"..(LOL) But I am glad that project is done.

I cleaned last night while he was working on the house.I got the refridgerator all nice and clean. The stove will be next and the pantry. I already did the laundry room. So, all I will have left is the kitchen cabinets.

I got a great deal on some green paint for our porch. They were $5.00 a gallon and I got two.So that will be another project for another day. After the hubby gets done with my house we will finish the bathroom. We need to finish the shower and our guest bathroom will be all new.So that will be nice.

After that project we have our bedroom to do.We have picked out a new bedroom suite but want to tie up all these projects first. The barn is also getting wired and getting plumbing. So it has been busy around here..No wonder I am tired!!

We are going to be away for the next two weekends so that will make for some relaxation. My husband's kids are meeting us at the beach so we can spend one day together. We thought about staying two days but who wants their parents around all the time:) We are going to a quaint little Bed and Breakfast for July 4th weekend. We love trying new ones out and they are so romantic and relaxing. It is fun meeting new people at breakfast too.

We just got back from one in Georgia and can't wait to go back!! My husbands parents live in a little town called Dallas Georgia. We stayed at a little house called The Ragsdale Inn.The Inn keeper was the sweetest Lady and even sat with us at breakfast. The Inn was just beautiful and we got all the history of the Inn which made it more interesting.

Well, I better get motivated (LOL)

You all have a blessed day!!

Sweet Southern Life

Sweet Southern Life refers to the kind of life I strive to live each day.It is sort of a goal to wake up each morning and just be blessed.I want to have a sweet life and living here in the south in the forest gives me that peacefulness that my soul longs for.

I live on 2.3 acres of land by the lake.I have a small garden and yes we own a tractor:)...Life here in this rural area is relaxing and slow paced. It is very hard to get used to and when I first moved here honestly I hated it.The longer I stayed the more I fell in love with the simple laid back life.

I am happily married to a wonderful man and have been for 12 years now.He is my soul mate and my best friend rolled into one.Besides being a wonderful man he is a wonderful person. His heart is real and he cares deeply for those he loves.

We have five children. All have turned out to be wonderful grown adults and we are proud of all of them.We also have been blessed with five Grand Babies that rule our world.

We have one kitty Harley that own the place....

I love writing and meeting new people. My summers are usually busy with kids sleeping over.I am addicted to graphics and my favorite ones are kitty's.I would like to get into more scrapbooking and my husband at this very moment is remodeling a shed for me so I can have a little scrapbook house. I love the outdoors and seeing new places.I love flying and so enjoy taking helicopter rides to see different scenery.I love reading books especially Robert Frost because all his poems are about nature.Which besides my husband is my first love.I believe everything happenes for a reason and also believe in karma.I try to always make the best decisions  and think things through.I am very family orientated and I spend a good deal of time with all my family.I don't believe in hurting others and I am always a giver.I am strong minded and will stand up for whatever my beliefs are.Basically, I am just looking to find a serene place in life and to be happy!!

So, Welcome to my place.Kick your shoes off and stay awhile.I would like to share my life with you and together we can get through any hurdles life throws at us! I am a christian and my faith besides my family is the most important thing in my life.I very much believe in prayer and always here if you need one!!
