Our Sunny Corner

Christmas in Australia

Most of the blogs I read here are from homesteaders in the Northern hemisphere. It sounds wonderful, snow and a real white Christmas. In Australia, it is hot. We have a green Christmas though this year with the drought, it is more like a brown Christmas. Our Christmas trees are usually artificial because they don't last very long. Some people have a live tree in a pot and then reuse it each year.

The funny thing is though even though it is summer here, most people decorate in the traditional Northern Hemisphere style.

Here is a picture of our Christmas tree which my daughters decorated by themselves.

Merry Christmas

Yep, you will be entering summer in just a few days, still a nice tree though, it should take some of the heat out of the warm days with thoughts of snow...
I would send you some snow, but its 51 degrees F (10.5 C) here in Ohio and we got no snow either... Ha Ha

Very cute tree! We don't have snow either, but we do have freezing temps right now.
